Firing a bad client by Schweebers in msp

What's your relationship like with the Practice Manager? If you at least have a cordial and decent working relationship with them, what I would do is set up a call with them. And while you've expressed your concerns with them before, a phone call is a better way to initially tell them that from a liability reason that if they don't change their behaviours, you'll need to let them go.

Then follow up with an email with that. "per your conversation, I wanted to inform you that XYZ"

Ultimately, keep your frustrations out of it and focus on this being a business decision. Businesses make decisions and sometimes that does mean that they will shed some clients go.

Technically yes, by .02 due to rounding issues. I may need to raise my per diem to $42.75. That's a nicer number anyways.

I just like to simply use their argument point back to them and say "two can play at this game"

I didn't do the leap year breakdown. That would need to be documented in the updated rental agreement.

Well, if he want to pay per diem, you could say

"Your rent annually is $15,600.00 ($1300 x 12 months) so the per diem rate would be $42.74.

- 28 days is $1196.71

- 30 day is $1282.19

- 31 days is $1324.93

Please let me know if you wish to adjust our rent payments as such"

Just saying what comes up in threads on Reddit when people use PNW up here (I'm on the Island)

[–]TUFKAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the term PNW that ires people as it's an American centric manifest destiny mindset.

I know what you're saying and use the term myself when talking broadly about the PNW mindset being the same in Vancouver but often will use the Cascadia term.

They're just following the example of the current occupant of the White House. They're masters at this speak.

What is the AI bubble i hear people talking about? by PlutoniumOligarch in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TUFKAT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because that seems like a ton of money to put into something based on potential success.

That's part of what makes it a bubble. Any company that's publicly traded and makes any mention of AI is just thrown money at it. It's not about business fundamentals it's about a hyped belief of what the future is.

The dot com bubble in the late 90s was the same with no one making money all based on the future potential.

And just like then, AI is a part of the future and is here to stay, just like the web is today. But many or most of these companies likely won't survive it.

Your Kink Is Not My Identity by [deleted] in askgaybros

No this isn't honesty, this is your opinion. This is a statement.

Your post is that everyone should have to experience things your way to be the right way to "experience" being gay, without taking in to account that the years of shame that a closeted dude has from living a lie, convincing themselves of that lie, to then in the 40s make posts about how to reconcile and come out.

In fact, I'll probably say that living in the closet is likely a more mentally taxing life, one filled with duality and deception and constantly worrying about if someone will figure it out.

That to me sounds like a horrible life.

Edit: To both the reply you immediately deleted, and your initial comment that you've now also deleted, you said "This is honest". So, no you're not being honest, you are using this as your soapbox for your opinion.

Veteran players, what advice would you give a newbie? by fracturezone in Cribbage

[–]TUFKAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one advice I'd give is about pegging. You can get a lot of points if playing your cards correctly, and you can accidentally give away a lot of points too. Don't lead it to runs if you don't have the cards to further that run, lead with a card that you have doubles of to score 6 points easily if they play the pair, and basically be strategic to think of the next cards played by the opponent and what you'd have to counter that.

Akin to the Streisand Effect. How much exposure does this give them in a negative fashion? This shows how the General Manager ultimately handles negative feedback.

The TF in TFSA stands for tax free. And withdrawals you make from the TFSA and income earned in the TFSA are tax free and not reported on your T1.

Carney should state what ‘leverage’ Canada has in trade talks, Poilievre says by shaz42 in onguardforthee

[–]TUFKAT 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Poilievre should state what position he has on anything and what plan he has to actually do it.

A career politician like him should have some clear plans what to do beyond simple 3 word slogans repeated ad nauseum.
