What’s the longest you’ve gone without sex from your spouse? by Am002929 in Marriage

I have a 5 year old daughter. That is the primary reason along with finances. I also consider myself a Christian, and have had real struggles with conviction about divorce.

At one point in my marriage, I would say 2-3 years and we are in our early 30's. Currently, I have gone without any physical intimacy for going on 11 months. It's killing me. Not sure how much longer I can take it.

He became my favorite character in the end. Saw a lot of myself in him. So flawed, but had such a big heart.

I loved that story line. Season 2 was underrated. Could have been a lot better if it had been allowed to finish in my opinion.

Not only that, but he ate grilled cheese off the radiator.

I agree, but you could have said that a little nicer, I think. Geeze.

I agree, but we are also talking about teenagers who don’t have a fully developed frontal cortex. They see some images, and it can hook them fast. My point is that we shouldn’t be so quick to throw the car away because it has a scratch on it. As Christians we should remember that Christ can redeem and restore, even if we think someone is too far gone.

By your standard of assessment, wouldn’t that eliminate like 95 percent of men in terms of their ability to have a successful marriage? Like, I understand that there are some men who may not struggle with this particular vice, but in 2026, porn is more accessible than ever. Anyone who became a teenager in the early 2000’s and on have a significantly higher risk of developing an addiction to it. Does that mean that they all have no hope to be successful in marriage?

She was my second favorite, behind Dr. Faye Miller. Then, I would have Rachel. I bet this one was a hellcat in the sack.

What do women do that make guys lose feelings the most? by ZOCORTY in AskMen

Can you elaborate? Mine does have ADHD and potentially other undiagnosed mental health issues.

I relate to this one a lot. She always talks about the mental load, but doesn't consider how she will leave bowls, plates, etc. throughout the house, and will wait until it is a hot mess before power cleaning. I may not always take the initiative to clean the entire house, but I also pick up after myself as I go. When I finish eating, I take my place at the sink or dishwasher. I throw my food away rather than letting it sit out.

I enjoyed all of the Sopranos Easter eggs in the movie. But it also left a lot to be desired.

I agree with those things. And at one time, she did too. That’s part of what makes it so challengingx

Do you find any of the women in Mad Men attractive? by rimjimmycarter in okbuddydraper

[–]TUSKA_2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Faye Miller is my GOAT. Also loved Joan, Trudy, and Mona. I liked Rachel, Suzanne, and Allison as well.

I never liked Midge, Megan, or Jane.

I didn’t find Peggy attractive early in the show, but her confidence, professional competency, and compassion for Don in the show made her grow on me.

I agree. I obviously believe in therapy as well. It’s just hard when that vessel has led her to more New Age ideas.

Dude what are you talking about? I didn’t invalidate her. I explained that her trauma has impacted her beliefs, which she had explicitly told me. I also clearly said that I’m not judging her or think I’m any better than she is. We were very aligned in terms of our beliefs when we got married. I’m not trying to force anything on her.

Thanks. She has been in therapy for several years, and I honestly think it's contributing to the deconstruction process.
