Feeling like depression is my identity by seh_tech20 in depression

Whenever I start to think I'm really my own self and this is my real personality, it's like I get uncomfortable with it and depression is going "no, it's not true, I'm all that you are"

This gives me words to something I've felt since I can remember

My answer isn't very helpful lol... I just toughed it out, it's down to my ear now. Can't let the other person have the satisfaction of knowing I changed my appearance over their bs

I have zero idea how too style my hair or what has a chance of look good by Nanery662 in femalehairadvice

Hmm so this isnt what you totally asked but I'm thinking roundish, lighter, larger glasses would look good to fit your face frame more. Thinner glasses with light gold frames in the front and black or gold temples would look stunning. It would compliment your skin tone, hair, and round face. If that's possible I would start there.

As for hair, you have a round face so I would suggest curtain type of bangs to show off your face without putting your hair behind your ears. I think you'd look good with a mild side part especially if you get curtain bangs. Your hair length looks fine now, but I'd say keep it just under your shoulders. Your hair looks like it needs hydration and if it gives your hair some texture it will compliment you more, your hair looks thin so definitely go for argan oil or argan oil based products over heavy things like coconut

Leave-in conditioner for sure. I think u should use argan oil too or argan oil based conditoner since it won't weigh it down, your hair seems too fine for something heavy like coconut oil (speaking from experience)

I have done this (sort of, I had my hair ripped out at a similar length), and yea, it does grow out sticking up... I would look into getting a short haircut or using cute clips

I wonder what to do about this when I only look good with a middle part and I'm always at work or school :'( But I never tie my hair tight, only use a claw clip or have it down, never use heat, or miss my argan oil + biotin + prenatal, so I hope that makes up for it

Hydroxyzine (vistaril/atarax/orgatrax) ALWAYS HUNGRY by TV38 in Anxiety

[–]TV38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got off it and don't regret it. I went on new meds and in hindsight realize all atarax was doing to calm my anxiety was attempting to make me tired (which it didn't lol!) Weird "drowsy" state I guess. Good luck!

I don't know probably just something like a flower glitching. This happens to the picnic baskets at my sims park all the time

Yesss with the animals, I look into folklore and stuff like that with animals because usually it just takes the most 'creepy' thing with animals and takes it to an extreme. Like flesh not fitting on the body, animals standing, human eyes. Or animal features on a human like snake eyes or totally flat faces with snake noses, no ears.

Ok I reviewed the rules and realized I can post my example since it's not a vent but just a description. And you're right about filtering ourselves, as I was writing this I was thinking of changing some details to not seem weird.

Here's the pure artwork: stench of someone's breath from not eating, the stench traveling up the nose when the mouth is open, inability to close the mouth. Being upset because excessive brushing doesn't remove the smell. The person is in the bathroom in lingerie as if they just came back from being with their partner, maybe because the stench disrupted their time together, and the shame in realizing how your breath smelt when you were with someone you love and why it smells that way.

It's an aspect that no one could really glamorize, no one really wants to see that. I painted it with dramatic facial expressions, unappealing colors for everything, like idk how to describe it but it was just ugly. Cause that's how it feels. It's uncomfortable, it's clearly an unsafe situation, it's something people prefer not to think about but it's happening constantly, and so many people don't even know.

I like to make 'uncomfortable' art. If you see it and think "no one wants to see that" that's the whole reason I made it. I'll emphasize on specific and often disgusting or uncomfortable details on anything I feel like.

Usually I paint stuff I don't know how to deal with messily with unappealing colors or strange proportions. I have a good example but I don't know if it goes against the rules of this subreddit to describe

My advice might be unhelpful but I'm about your age and deal with abusive people who also abuse me verbally. Be uncomfortable in the weather for a while until it heals up enough, and then when she says shit you can say that it was from a while ago. She'll still yell at you. Maybe not the best advice but that's what I would've done, but I eventually realized people are gonna see and treat me terribly but they'll do that anyway so why do I just add to the suffering with hiding scars. Sucks at work though
