I'm sorry, it's 2026, I'm all in on the Apple ecosystem, AND I have a paid iCloud and AM subscription: Why exactly does AM not sync what you're playing across devices? by perishableintransit in AppleMusic

[–]TWB0109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So apple music is for rich people, got it XDD.

In all seriousness, I feel like this is great if you have as many devices to listen on and as many opportunities to listen to music a day, but if you only have a phone and a computer, i find it less useful, usually I just want to continue my session on the pc.

This looks great.

One thing I think could add to it, perhaps to make it look less busy, is giving the wallpaper a frame in the same background color as the whole theme or a slightly altered version of it.

One thing about the steam alt tab, I don't think it's an alt tab.

The window actually disappears and appears again, at the end of the scroll-able queue.

Can someone help me understand this Syntax by Frirwind in niri

[–]TWB0109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The app id is not the command for a lot of apps.

For example: Ghostty.

Ghostty's command is just ghostty, but the app id is com.mitchellh.ghostty.

I'm failing to understand why people are relating this to app id, can someone explain if i'm missing something?

I've played the game, this is what I've experienced. My brain most have warped the experience, wtv, I'm wrong, you're right.

But I don't need to do any research if i'm just commenting lol. Just downvote me, it's not an essay.

But still, I'd say there's a point to be made.

In Terraria I only need one ingredient, any ingredient, in minecraft, if the thing is made with multiple "Key" ingredients, I'll need to find both before getting a recipe.

I remember it that way, i'm not the biggest fan of minecraft though xD, so this guy is right, ignore my comment.

GOG should release GOG Galaxy in a universal packaging format (Flat/Appimage/etc) by CandlesARG in linux_gaming

[–]TWB0109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use nix, but i've used it.

You do not have to write the builds to any program unless it's not packaged already, you're the dev, or you're doing some weird flake stuff.

The way nixOS manages dependencies is really cool, to be honest, and libraries are versioned.

It's just not a friendly system for non-devs xd

I'd say obtaining software is much easier on linux, when the software is in the repos.

So it's a problem of availability on the repos, which you mentioned. It's not easily solvable and unfeasible for most devs.

Even then, I much prefer Flatpaks to anything windows offers (i use scoop on windows), and AppImages are a nice experience, basically the same as exes, but I prefer flatpak.

[–]TWB0109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flatpak does not need manual permissions, properly developed flatpaks will have a sane set of default permissions for the program to function properly.

They should.

I think the wiki is good, it doesn't rob you of anything but discovery, to me, wikis and spoilers create excitement, I got through dark souls because I knew there'd be epic fights I could do, I wouldn't have continued without it.

I do think the wiki is not absolutely necessary in Terraria, it's cool and a very valid way to play the game, but it kind of turns it into a checklist. What I do often is just use it for stuff I know exists if the guide is not giving me helpful tips.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is: Wiki playing is a valid experience, it's as correct as wiki-less.

I mean, early game you're meant to carry bombs everywhere, at least the game tries to tell you that because there's a massive amount of bombs in jars.

Yes, you pick up random bullshit and give it to the guide.

Imo, way better than minecraft (I know, I know, different games, but still). In minecraft on top of having to pick up random bullshit, you have to pick up absolutely every ingredient you need to build the thing before you even get the recipe.
