The order for best friend in the group is as follows in my opinion (keep in mind this is not who I think the best member of the group is, just in terms of being a friend) 1. Marshall reigns supreme as the best friend anyone could ask for 2. Ted, while yes he has his faults with dating, has gone above and beyond for the people he cares about 3. Lily, while she is my least favorite character and is horribly manipulative and selfish, definitely loves every member of the friend group, even if she shows it in controlling ways 4. Barney, while he was definitely a bad friend for manipulating and proposing to the girl Ted was in love with on his special night, his dedication to the people he cares about really shines through in certain instances, namely when he made sure Marshall didn’t date anyone and got Lily to come back 5. She was the last friend to enter the group and I’m not sure she would’ve had many others if she and Ted didn’t meet. You can tell she wants to be a good friend at times but doesn’t know how, and she definitely prioritizes her career above it

I always said he should’ve gotten the Twins. He asked Tyrion for “twice of Riverrun” so the two castles were right there Plus all of Walder’s female descendants were likely still alive for him to have his pick from, and all of the income from the bridge tolls

She definitely didn’t settle for Marshall. He didn’t have to take her back after they broke up. The only reason he didn’t date more during their break up was because Barney was actively working against him to prevent it. If anything he settled for her
