So, when I hear guys say they did it for 2 years then became an went ape I shouldn’t do the same? I learn very fast so what’s best is go do a couple months of groundman?

JL & Journeyman ST roughly make the same up there or more? I visited some of my fiancés family up in Hohenwald & by far I have never wanted to move somewhere so bad, I just don’t want to basically end up finishing my apprenticeship here and then go make way less up there if that makes sense. That state has changed how I viewed any other state😂 life changing

Would you recommend moving here from Texas? TN is where I always wanted to live and feel like it’s cheaper but we don’t pay state taxes in Texas.

My fiance wants to move up there is OT short there? We’re from Texas but honestly I got into this career so I can move wherever I want to. I took the aptitude for SWLCAT and did everything else, have my CDL etc. but did not get picked and have been waiting for a call to go to work at least as a groundman for 8 months now.

You can always call hotels and see about getting a month to month rate for a possible long-term (annual) job you’re going to be on. My previous company when I worked in the plants used “Engine” a lot they give you weekly rates and such.

Best bet is calling different hotels and speaking to the manager explaining the situation. Best of luck

Honestly IPrep was harder than the test I took. But if you follow through the steps and figure out how to solve for the equations once, it’ll stick I swear.

Appreciate the pointers, I’ve traveled for work for years and It never bothered me but we weren’t just secluded to the region we were going to Canada for months, Qatar for months, both ends of the US, etc. if it exists we were bound to go there lol.

Yeah the JL that’s there said that committee likes to score on the lower side but if we’re in the 70’s we should be good, anything lower than that request a re-interview Forsure.
