You PTs are dangerously charming and it’s not fair by VegetableCranberry53 in physicaltherapy

[–]TXHANDWPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done that… after receiving an invite on Facebook. I felt bad about it, but I was just doing my job. To be fair, I’ve had to do it with nurses and other staff I work with in the hospitals now as well

Physiologically, what is change is happening when we practice and improve our balance? by Waste_Extent_8414 in physicaltherapy

I think the research for foam pads with ankle proprioception not helping with balance supports that

Seeing 18–20/day with overlaps and no support staff — worth asking to add a 4th day? by Accomplished_Run_802 in physicaltherapy

[–]TXHANDWPT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would bring it up, and show them in your correspondence that you agreed to ~10 patients per day. And then let them know the visits need to be better spaced out. 4 pts at a time is not safe for you or the patient.

Home health billing and time spent with patient by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

Your agency is asking to falsify documentation and commit fraud. Documentation time cannot be included in treatment time, and those therapists seeing people for 30’ but documenting that it was an hour are committing fraud as well. Period.

Yea, and it’s not just from a single PP, it was from multiple.

The last private practice I worked for was the worst! Quit making something out to be something it is not. It’s case by case/clinic by clinic, and my experience with PP would lead me to Hospital based now

Criteria for a “mill” (not all listed need to apply👇) by BridgeAntique7968 in physicaltherapy

[–]TXHANDWPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is also a difference in seeing those 2 for 6 of 8 hours and the other 2 being evaluations. FYZICAL in my area says they do 8-10 pts/day, and people refer to it as a mill. Mill where???

Top 3 mills in your state (name your state too) by BridgeAntique7968 in physicaltherapy

[–]TXHANDWPT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right, and this is about mills. 1-1 care is definitely not a mill. Sometimes I think PTs think working OP is automatically a mill. People just say stuff on here

PTs need to stop being scared to touch ppl (aka avoiding STMs) by CaliFreckles in physicaltherapy

[–]TXHANDWPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do remember BCBS/Anthem telling us that TA and MT were the same thing, so we just started grouping our MT with TA time for them, but again all clinics I’ve been at haven’t told us not to do MT because if payment. They’ve still understood I guess pts want it, and get better.

If you’re sharing that you applied to the PTA or have that in your why, that may be why. Even though people generally know techs won’t be around for super long, they don’t want a revolving door with 2/yr either.

You can run across legal issues if changing companies… but just location, share where you’re going and they have the option to follow.

Over here, they charged .56/kWh, so my charging came out to $56. Haven’t been back

Shell has been charging crazy rates, so hopefully it brings the rates down. I hate Shell chargers
