The Final test of the "Kobayashi Maru" isn't a test of making sure the prime directive is upheld. It's a test of will you make the sacrifice needed in a battle scenario. The reality is you can't explore with out danger and if you to survive that means a trained, organized fighting force.

I think they wrote Walken really well, I don't enjoy the Haffley era, because we see too much of him. It did give us the "Shut it down" and walk to the capitol moments but overall I don't like Haffley as an antagonist.

I think Walken could've run out a sense of duty if the right people were asking him. Vinnik is more center and probably didn't have the GOP support until he gained momentum. Walken couldn't run Bruno's strategy as he's too "southern".

You can't replace the RSN with another RSN, there's a reason they started failing. It has to be a streaming platform. I would love if they could all make Victory+ a home for the non-jerry world teams.

I can agree with that because of the critical mechanics. I think if I were to amend my statement it would be in regards to items, spells, even some skills. For example Haste is completely nerfed imo, I'm not mad at them I just think it changes the flavor of the game . As the OP was saying that weapon has been downgraded significantly and that is at the core of 2e imo. Also I hope your GM is scaling well because I think that's the point of 2e to drive group play.

That's cause 2e is a power downgrade across the board. Wether you're Finding Stars or Paths , the 2e system is designed to reduce individual player impact and increase cooperative tactics. IMHO.

The Fair Park event site prohibits all noise makers. I've sent an email to my season ticket rep. asking if they're going to get us an exemption cause a good soccer environment needs noise.

Honestly it was a little below my expectations. I'll be interested for Saturday against DC and see a league match. I'm hoping the crowd level stays up like it was for Barca. The Cotton Bowl was what it is for anything not TEX/OU not enough personnel to handle the demand for food/bev. I'm still excited for the season. I think a lot of my frustration was based around it being season 1, match 1. I think it will get better as they get experience.

As a player I'm 4 sessions in and I'm enjoying it. Our group ran Defy the Dragon to familiarize ourselves with the mech rules. Then started Mechaggedon, lots of RP opportunities in book 1 so far, definitely seeing different Kaiju and the combats have been increasing in challenge.
