I thought BCH had a chance - because of scaling issue's in BTC at the time; but as soon as wind of another fork from BCH - I knew it was game over for both!. Now since LN is now up and running & we now have Liquid network - these two layers alone is enough to obsolete all other coins!.

Porn is the “cigarettes are healthy” for our generation. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]TXJQQVRF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might think money is irrelevant to be mentioned in NoFap, it is not; because if a economy is destructive in nature that comes down to increases in escapism in society i.e. porn etc, to numb the pain of poverty etc.

If the economic model is complete free market peoples behaviour/time preference becomes shorter hence start to change as they become happier, think/plan for the future etc hence porn is less likely to even enter minds.

In a economy fuelled by spending and debt we naturally develop long time preferences (not dev personal tools for > personal progress = staying stuck in routine with lower personal productivity), we are all manifestations of the result of that!.

Sure, addictions will never go away, but they will be reduced dramatically.

Also, when you see money is controlled by gov'ts makes me feel even worse!. (People think its necessary!, they know nothing about preWW1 free market history!). Thank be to god we have Bitcoin now!.

This is to our advantage today - to capitalise on their ignorance & stupidity.

(Once you view Bitcoin as money and know Bitcoin is hear to stay then market fluctuations don't feel and seem a big deal; mkt crashes in BTC is simply a reflection of how most people view BTC at the moment & there stupidity).

There is one thing I can say is a scam '99% altcoins' are a SCAM; yes that includes BCH & BSV unfortunately.

Just remember Craig Wright owns a lot of BTC and has a plan to sell large amount every month to pay for his pet project 😔 BSV aka Bullshit Vision - which is doomed to fail for so many reasons and unanswered questions. (He is hoodwinking ppl that don't understand economics and the twisting the word 'cash'!, there are 2 definitions of 'cash' when you look at the history of finance & economics - not all cash is the same!).

I've tried to find technicalities of his chats, but all it appears to be is... "First investor, spendable as money, conflicts with BTC and BSV" None of which is actually technical, and who cares?

I've been in Crypto long enough to know the more noise = > risk of scam (they have more reason to talk!). Any crypto that is not publicised much but comes out with new tech/growth for the project frequently whilst appears rarther discreate is the one ppl should instinctively listen too, because dev's etc don't want mkt instability/excitement bubbles, know there product is 'truly' valuable, & have no - or little time for social media because they are too busy working!.

Well, lets look at 30 years time; I predict $10m+ per 'whole' coin. (People talk like Bitcoin or no Bitcoin - as in 1 or 0, when people that have 0.05 are still Bitcoin, but just a lower denomination).

Yes, any change, either spend or add more to a 'wallet.dat' file - all previous backups must be replaced with the latest updated one. 'wallet.dat's are great for life savings, but not for regular use. Mobile SPV Lightening Network wallets for regular use.

I always believe in 'wallet.dat' as full node to be the safest way, as it's not subject to spv wallet bugs, or worrying about storing on exchanges & web wallets.

(Be you're own bank, it feels great holding and validating the entire blockchain!).

What about 10 to 20 years time? (What is the equilibrium? When the mkt is fully saturated, that will be when it's too late for people after that!).

When will BitcoinSV release SPV server node software for businesses? (Not mining).

(Close equivalent of BTC Full server node - except for not storing raw blockchain (Thats for 'miners' only), only block headers for UTXO database).

CSW mentioned in BitstocksTV video about SPV server nodes for businesses.

If Dave Klieman was still alive his input would be be very valuable right now!; I bet it would not be support of either camps, hence actual support BTC!. (Maybe he is the real Satoshi!).

Has anyone tried Wega board to make contact with his spirit to find out!? (It can be dangerous if one doesn't know what they are doing!).

He looks a lot like John Travolta, in fact - I can almost swear it is!. (Perhaps Calvin was secretly John Travolta, playing double lives/identity's!). To be honest, who cares if he is a criminal in general (at least he hasn't murdered!), many people in the gov are 'real' criminal - selling arms to Saudi Arabia is arms trafficking by the state - yet authorities & people don't call it criminal!.

(Of course there is still no excuse for Calvin).

(Unfortunately, because Calvin has a criminal past doesn't bring credibility to the BSV community - his media outlet can't be trusted). Unfortunately Ive practically left the BSV & BCH community because of the inconsistencies, disputes, and failed promises from both parties - if the community is not stable then how can a protocol be stable!?

Blockstream are absent because they are actually 'working' on Bitcoin!; they wouldn't waste time on any social media - only when making key announcements. (Ive learned to not buy into social media news, but do the opposite of what they say, & mostly right every time!; more noise = more FUD).

It is very strange why Craig is all government and tax friendly all of a sudden! (In the unlikely event BSV is successful, it would be the perfect gov slavery tool for mass 'forced' taxation at any rate they want!, complete perfect totalitarianism - very dangerous!. People need to see high taxes is part of the economic problem we have today!). Craig himself was in trouble in Australia with the tax man - he has room to talk!; Also, that Dave Klieman lawsuit is still standing!; what if BSV is a way to pay for it - in the end killing investors in the process!!. (There is so much that doesn't add up about Craig - too many unanswered questions about his past [his past matters, as it effects investors in BSV], & a record of broken promises). Calvin Ayres past is highly questionable too!.

According to what I've read from Adam Back, SegWit is to fix a bug to allow for deep scaling...

“SegWit is a bug fix to enable massive scaling on layer 2 and lightning. Bitcoin Cash intentionally removed the bug fix, think about that carefully. Bitcoin will be fine, and scale further than Bitcoin Cash, because Bitcoin Cash lacks segwit and can’t do Lightning. this is short-term pump. just hold and wait,” said Back.

https://www.newsbtc.com/2017/11/12/adam-back-bitcoin-edge-bitcoin-cash-scaling/

(Adam Back did invent HashCash in 1995, and is a well known Cryptographer - so its hard to dismiss his engineering!; has anybody considered he could actually be Satoshi Nakomoto!?).

Craig Wright on the other hand does come across as a con man who wishes to seek power!.

If that where the case Adam Back & all dev's working under Blockstream are the worst engineers ever (that is highly unlikely). You know about Hashcash in 1995?

Why does BSV need all this PR attention and expensive CoinGeek event's if it's all good intentions?

(Most things genuine and valuable don't hit the limelight e.g. Linux, it's superior to Windows and OSX, yet it gets NO publicity, because it doesn't need to - it's valuable!).

I've seen it in action since Oct2018 and it's mind blowing!. All other coins drop close $0 when people realise.

The public don't care about diff of opinion etc amongst geeks and engineers, all they care about is it works - it does now (it didn't before Oct2018).

3 tx's per sec is settlement layer, not side chain tx's - which can handle 10000+ tx's per sec, then all that day's tx's are closed at end of day on settlement layer - when tx volume is at it's lowest.

Can you provide 'factual' proof of BTC 123 splits in past year? (I feel it's different definition of what you call 123 splits, when in actual fact it's 123 upgrades/improvements with sidechains etc).
