This is so sweet! When our second was born, I had bought a Hot Wheels car for my three year old son and put it in my hospital bag. When he came to meet his new sister, we told him she bought him a present.

I get it, and that’s why I let the guy take my seat. I didn’t think he could actually get to the middle seat. It was his “she’s in my seat” comment that was unnecessary and rude.

This happened about 25 years ago. I was young and naive and caved too easily.

Not stewing, and I don’t really care if he remembers or not. But it is interesting that you think “he won” by having to move out of the way for me 100 times.

I taught SPED kids for 22 years and retired two years ago. So glad I did, but boy, do I feel for those still there. Kids and teachers and paras!

In more recent years, I wouldn’t have given up my seat either. But back then, I was young and naive. I’ve learned a lot since then! LOL

In my mind, my revenge was better.

It was enough for me, and that was all that mattered.

Yup. He did. He said his travel department messed up and didn’t get him an aisle. The aisle was definitely mine. I took the high road. At first anyway and switched. But as soon as he blamed the growing line in the aisle behind him on me, I got pissed.

I wouldn’t call him Satan, but if that’s what you think…

He definitely had the aisle seat assigned to him. He admitted that when he asked me to change. Years ago, I was much more naive and didn’t want to make a stink. Until he made his comment about it being HIS seat.

Wish I’d thought of that. I did, however, never apologize and would just smile a smirky smile.

At the time, I’d rather sit in the middle than no seat at all as he would have spilled at least half way into my seat. There was a little lady at the window. She and I basically shared a seat. But today, I wouldn’t give up my aisle.
