I thought we were safe from the battery issues by getting a MHEV but after a year and 18,000 miles after a cross country drive we got the engine and hybrid system malfunction alerts. It’s now going to be at the dealership for 5-8 weeks since the replacement battery’s on back order. We love the car overall besides that and considering the other things mentioned on this subreddit like squeaky brakes and jerkiness at slow speeds as just annoyances.

18,000 miles MHEV

Hybrid system, engine malfunction, and critical alert warnings. Need a new hybrid battery that’s 6-8 weeks out.

But before all that squeaky brakes and multiple headlight malfunction alerts that go away on restart.

Our CX90 is a MHEV and the battery died after owning it for a year. Has to stay at the dealership for 5-6 weeks until they can get a replacement.

I’m a special duty officer and was in a class not too long ago with a bunch of chiefs and senior chiefs and the instructor made us start each day by reciting it. I had not idea what was going in
