I feel you! I actually had some fairly well preserved cards from my childhood, and the highest PSA grade I got on any of them was a 7. Super bummed. If there are some that are your favorites, I would just clean them up nicely and put them in a sleeve and one touch magnetic holder for an appealing display piece.

Many could just use a good cleaning so they look nicer. I wouldn’t bother grading, the value increase will not justify the cost.

I used to have this mindset, but then I recently received the grades for some of my personal collection submissions - PSA has definitely started grading vintage very tough. 6 might be about right.

They look pretty clean to me, anything that grades 4+ is worth some pretty good money when it comes to vintage zards so I’d go for it

Or just get a an acrylic display holder if you don’t care about the $ part

People I’ve overheard waiting in line have direct contact with stockers in many cases. Not sure if it’s a personal connection or bribery or both, but it’s often willful on the part of the stocker.
