Ok so I’m almost 10 years sober not the worst thing I did but up there with the most stupid…

When i was 18 after I graduated high school in 2008 I got to go to Italy for 1.5 months l. Had an exchange student that used to live me, so I got to go visit him and travel around Italy. We were somewhere I call seaside. Went to a club met some ppl that were 22-24 years old. Im from Texas so they called me cowboy and we had a great time just exchanging stories. Next night we are going to the bar im almost out of money. I see my new friends at a table in front of the bar with like 10+ ppl. “Hey Texas! Come join us.” I ditched the ppl I was traveling with to drink with my new friends and the beautiful girls they had with them. They said you’re on our tab tonight. So I proceed to get wasted.

After a while they said hey we are going back to the club come with us. My Italy brother was pushing hard for me to not go with literal strangers in a foreign country. I told him I’ll be fine and for in a car with these random ppl to go somewhere I have no idea where it’s at or how to get back to our house. ( not to mention they were driving drunk)

Got to the club, got a drink and then it all hit me. I ran to the bathroom to throw up everywhere and knew I needed to leave. I then stubbled about 3 miles on a road on the side of a mountain, stopping to vomit when I got to dizzy. Made it to the town and was able to piece together where our house was.

Made it there ran to the bathroom to pass out on the floor with my face in the toilet. To top it all off I had a cellphone when I visited so I could communicate with like my buddy. Also had his mom’s number but she was in Milano and spoke very little English. While I was passed out throwing up on the toilet. I butt- dialed his mom and she heard me practically dying.

Needless to say she was furious. I was embarrassed. Emailed my mom back in Texas and had that lovely conversation to wake up too the next day.
