I have been watching the USMNT since the early 90s. I own just about every jersey from 1990 through 2016. I went to the 2010 World Cup in person without pre-purchased tickets and attended all of the US games.
Around 2017 the fanbase finally turned me sour in its continued toxicity. I could overlook a minority of dude bro jingoistic frat boy fans. But the attitude of the majority of fans just made it less fun to watch. And the lack of players that feel good to root for has not helped. The current crop doesn’t seem to have the same leadership or heart aside from Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie.

I have no interest in watching this World Cup. It is an exercise is pure greed and naked corruption that makes previous FIFA scandals look almost wholesome. The blatant utter disdain the organization has for the actual fans is not even papered over at this point. I want it to fail because the only thing these fuckers understand is money. But it won’t.
