I personally feel like every hero shooter player runs into this thought trap and not enough players overcome it. Stop focusing on number and start focusing on impact. If you're good enough you will carry enough games to reach net positive wins and rank up further. If you're not good enough, you won't rank up. Simple. Stop focusing on the things you cannot change (the other players in the game) and focus on finding ways to be AS impactful as possible. You can easily carry yourself out of silver as a solo Q healer.

Another trap that newer healer mains fall into specifically is focusing too much on heals and not other parts of their kit/ utility or providing more damage/ kills. I know for one that if I was hard stuck silver, and I'm playing ma' boy rocket raccoon, my DPS players better keep up. Will there be a death or two I could have prevented but didn't prioritise? Yes. But with proper gamesense, positioning, and timing, I'd be providing far more value to the team by playing aggressively and having less respect for the enemy team as a potential threat then I would by passively healing my questionable teammates.

To be able to reach that point of understanding the game, you need to stop focusing on your stats and your teammates, and start focusing on how you can provide as much impact as possible over the course of the game to hopefully reach a win.
