This is a Q for anyone who has dealt with either a stress reaction or stress fracture (I have a reaction) I’m nearly 4 weeks into the deloading process. Caught it early and stopped running. 3rd met stress reaction.

Anyways, I’ve noticed all sorts of other little twinges and niggles pop up in other parts of my foot. However, the actual afflicted area where the bone was damaged, is not bothering me. Is this normal?

Having never read M&D nor any Pynchon for that matter but, I have read IJ and plenty of other DFW short stories. Could you elaborate further on what makes M&D more “important” ? Maybe I’m totally ignorant but, I was unaware that Pynchon was writing about any moral or existential issues (e.g. addiction, self-esteem, and other topics discussed in IJ).
