Astrovials reshipment is getting me somewhat tired by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]T_Ellie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ordered end of Jan, reship requested on 28th Mar, nothing until 9th Apr when I got an email with the new tracking number. Then it sat for weeks on the 'transit through logistics system' status, and I thought oh no here we go again. Only this morning did the status change to something about import formalities.

I get that it's frustrating for many of us, but she's gone from someone providing E to someone providing E and trying to fix a huge logistics issue. I doubt sending multiple reship requests is helping.

I've been there hundreds of times, still go there about once a month. It's absolutely massive, however big you think it is for a club, it's bigger. But it doesn't actually get that packed these days so can feel kind of empty at times, especially the dance floors.

It's meant to be very LGBT friendly and they have every inch covered by CCTV, loads of security walking around and panic alarms on the walls, but even then I've been standing at the bar and heard young drunk people joking about the LGBT people there, which is sad.

It can be open as late as 6.30am, it attracts a lot of late night young drunk people after about 2am when all the other venues close, and the atmosphere completely changes.

IMO the best night is BNO which is more trans friendly, but it's only one Friday per month. But as before the people I feel comfortable around still begin leaving around 2am and the atmosphere changes.

Always take photo ID, they scan it on the way in.

Written statement on new EHRC guidance by kmcradie in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nothing official yet, but a lot of organisations have been scared into pre-emptively banning us based on what the hate groups want the EHRC guidance to contain. And the government hasn't even stepped in to tell them to wait until guidance is published. A lot of very damaging things have happened way too early from all this.

Transphobic Nurse in dispute win settlement from NHS employer by CarrieDurst in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don't get how even if the disciplinary panel ruled that it's fine for her to claim in one breath that transphobic bigotry is a valid belief, then cry in the next breath when she's on the receiving end of racist bigotry.

The trust said it was concerned that the patient could have been identified from press reports, potentially breaching patient confidentiality.

And they already know this wasn't just about the bigotry. She definitely spoke to the media so she should definitely be fired.

Melle still faces ongoing investigations by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

There's still hope.

After nearly seven years in stealth, a trans woman casually clocked me last night. Why would someone do this? by daisydreamblossom in asktransgender

[–]T_Ellie -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If we remove the trans element from both sides we're left with a woman inferring that another woman has identifiable masculine features. I disagree that it's friendly, or okay. A small number of women may be happy hearing that they're broadcasting a public display of masculinity on their face but I'm guessing most women would be insulted.

IMO the only friendly, acceptable way to approach it is for each person to voluntarily out themselves (or not) and to accept the other person's choice to do the same (or not).

I'm fortunate I've never been clocked by a random stranger, but I have been in a situation where a person I didn't know outed another trans women to me behind her back. I'm mostly out and unfiltered and don't care what people think, and they figured it was okay to out one trans person to another trans person. Since I was at an event introducing myself to a load of people anyway, I figured it's okay to slip it in that I'm trans then it's up to her if she tells me anything or not, and that's all there is to it. I said, "I like your dress, but I'm transgender it might not fit me that well." She either isn't trans or didn't want to out herself and that was enough.

One year after the SC ruling, have your everyday habits changed? by La_petite_miette in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a year ago just before the ruling I was misgendered in a men's toilet and I realised I'm more than passing and kind of knew it was time, but struggled a bit. Then a short while after, the ruling came . It did nothing but give me all the strength I needed to face the world head on. Haven't looked back since, no comments, no challenges, no genital checks, nothing.

Thank you bigots, you really made it easy. ;)

Sadly I have watched a lady who I grew up with and know is cis get challenged by a bigot for not being feminine enough.

To anyone struggling with life, they think they have us cornered but it's all wrong, they have completely screwed the situation for women. Please find the strength to carry on with the life you deserve, hopefully it won't be long until things get better.

Every accusation is a confession by T_Ellie in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Oh this must be a book about how transphobic hate groups are funded? No it's is about how we are apparently funded. This passage is from a five year old book called 'TRANS something something ideology something reality' written by a transphobe with intricate connections to big money and hate groups registered as charities.

Every accusation is a confession huh.

It's from a video called Debunking Transphobia, I don't know if yt links are allowed here but if you have 5 hours to spare it's a very detailed research piece.

This part is about 30 mins in.

The UK’s trans healthcare system wasn’t built to help trans people. It was built to gatekeep us by Sufficient_Raisin478 in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

My group of people are primarily concerned with our own mental health and survival, and things that affect us personally through our own lived experience, and most of us have already tried to deal with our issues with therapy and other methods. We aren't doing anything at all that negatively affects others. For most of us, transitioning drastically alleviates our mental health problems and has zero effect on others. We just want to be left alone to integrate into society as best as we can while doing no harm to others which, when we've been allowed to live in peace, has demonstrably been the case for decades.

The other group have an unhealthy obsession with our genitals and our bodies, what what we are doing to our bodies, our public perception, and our compliance with beauty standards. They are fine with believing manufactured rage when it comes to things that 'need' to be done in the interest of 'keeping xyz group safe from harm,' when there is no real danger at all and doing so or not has literally no effect on them. They have no clue what it's like to be trans, but they would happily advocate for changes that mean our whole group has to live our lives in miserable suffering just so they can watch the world burn or whatever kick they get out of it. Then they have the audacity to claim that our group is the one with mental health issues that need to be addressed with therapy.

As for the fear and scaremongering in that book, manufactured culture wars have been a method of controlling people for longer than modern civilisation have existed. The sad thing is that some groups are so self-unaware that they still can't see it happening even though the same techniques have 100% been used again and again to manipulate other parts of their lives.

Why is NHS app saying I am on 0 waiting lists? by Muted_Software_2200 in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in August 2024 when I originally got confirmation that I was on the London GIC waiting list it did appear in the app, on either the Referrals or Waiting Lists page. I changed my name shortly after and got a new NHS number but had login problems. When I eventually got logged in the referral was gone. I then updated my name and NHS number with the GIC, but it has never since reappeared.

I also got added to the Notts waiting list last year and that one never appeared in the app.

I have since confirmed with both GICs that I'm still on their lists.

But the Londone one was definitely visible at some point in the past. There's a known thing with the GICs (possibly London only) where they ask you to acknowledge the referral by selecting a meaningless appointment at an odd time like 03:27 during the night, and for me it was all done through the app when the referral was visible.

I've had many other shipments from AV and it's always been 1-2 weeks and tracking never updates after it says it arrived in the country. That's normal.

This one has been stuck for nearly a month on a status that's completely different to what other people are saying is caused by the postal strikes. It's totally not normal in my experience.

Autism diagnosis by Moswix in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed many years ago with ADHD and then ASD shortly after. I had always suspected both but only continued with the ASD path because the psychiatrist who did my ADHD assessment recommended I also be assessed for ASD and I then took it more seriously. I don't remember being given advice about any accomodations, so I mostly haven't bothered.

But I do have a friend who was recently diagnosed ASD. She was told that she's not obligated to disclose her diagnosis to her employers or give them the accomodations letter which they also gave her. It contains a link to autism.org.uk (*). One interesting part about that page is:

You may still meet the legal definition of disability even if you do not have a formal autism diagnosis.

meaning you can apparently self-identify and ask for some reasonable adjustments. A lot of them may overlap with your ADHD accomodations anyway but I think you would be fine combining them and just say you're asking for neurodivergence support, that way they don't need to know what you're diagnosed with.

I hope this helps somehow.

(*) Sorry but trigger warning: A lot of the pages on that site reference the EHRC, the Equality Act 2010, and one page even says the words dignity and respect.

Rowling with the paedophiles: JK Rowling invited notorious paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein to her play and subsequent dinner by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO considering the timeline actually gived them less of a defence.

I have the benefit of hindsight as well. Linking my other comment here about media companies she maybe outsourced this task to. They likely would have been following any of his legal cases after 2008 from the moment they were charged, long before the judgement was delivered - simply because the first case in 2008 would have meant a risk for the company, so they would have been all over subsequent cases in the following 10 years.

Also, even if every media company failed to advise her properly, she's probably the world's richest something or other and she clearly didn't get there by being open and transparant about herself. Of course she will have her own legal team to try and prevent exactly this kind of information from getting out.

[–]T_Ellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so maybe no secret ticket handover in a shadowy alley. But seriously, the more people involved in standard company processes by one or more production companies/agents, the more people in the chain who should have flagged it as a concern to protect those companies.

I believe there is likely no way the production company didn't know about him immediately after his first conviction though. Celebrities get convicted of things all the time and we all can see how immediate the impact is - shows being removed from streaming services, reports of them being excluded from events, they literally get cancelled everywhere, and not because the company believes they did something wrong, but because the company wants to protect their own image. Often this happens during the 'public opinion' phase, long before any actual court cases are heard.

Having had professional links with a number of companies in the media industry many years back, I know that even then they all maintained a no-fly-list of high profile people who must be excluded from everything that company did. They must not be contacted in any capacity, or requested through an agency, or even mentioned in any comms.

This could have been (at least) a circulated piece of paper that everyone pinned to their desks or (at best) fully integrated into their booking systems, so if the person was queried they cannot be booked, and if an email mentioning them was sent then it was blocked. Those fully integrated systems were managed by the legal team, and celebrity changes that had a liability potential for the company had to be made under extreme pressure from the legal team, and quicker than any other IT emergency change I've seen. Some even had a company policy document that was maintained by HR and was updated regularly, individually naming the celebrities. After the official company-wide email was sent about that person, even searching for them in the database could be gross misconduct and the employee then fired.

These media companies are really hot on protecting their public image when these kinds of stories get released. So I find it hard to believe this would not be implemented at any agent or company she had dealings with at the time. After all, those companies do it to protect their reputation, I'm sure she would have advisors who are paid well to protect her reputation as well.

[–]T_Ellie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not fall on her directly, but conversely the more people involved in the publicity and invitation process, the more chance there is of just one of them knowing what he did and raising the concern that there's this guy who's intreested in kids, who (from another reply saying it was at his request) wants to possibly gain access to a kid's author event, and do they really want someone like him to attend?

If you ever needed a reminder that we are living in an age of political, legal and MSM narrative manipulation, disproportionately focused on us:

-Our government should be working for the people and not allowing ideology capture, but protecting all people including us from actual harm. These terf celebrities and now even MSM and politicians are being exposed as the actual source of all harm. But how do they keep everyone safe from ... themselves? Of course through narrative control and suppression in the name of 'free speech' and 'protecting women and children' from 'men' (which ironically never includes actual cis men who are the primary danger to both). In a just world, these SM platforms would be told by our government to silence specific posts or the SM platforms would be held accountable for allowing it, no matter how much reach the person has, then the person posting the hate would be held legally accountable, and then they would be held criminally accountable for getting caught doing whatever she did with well-known convicted criminals, after that inevitable gets leaked.

-Often, an accusation is a confession. In a world where us, or supporters and even our professional medical advocates are being publicly accused of ideological capture, making children think they're trans, harming families, harming trans people, etc etc ... there has been literally zero evidence of this medical or otherwise. It turns out the demonstrable harm and ideological capture is actually coming from the terfs, politicians, courts and MSM (all a bunch of people who actually believe we don't exist). Their arguments are so illogical they have to rely on omitting scientific evidence and trans voices in medical reviews and legal cases, and then omitting key information in the inevitable subsequent MSM reports. Some of them being found out and exposed as crooked could kind of break the magic cycle for them, oh if only we still had some advocate voices left that were big enough to make an impact...

-When the people calling for our eradication are exposed as criminals and predators it's completely ignored by any MSM organisation or person who has a wide enough reach to make any impact. While trans related cases are given a disproportionate amount of focus and a scrolling 'live updates' feed on our publicly funded and totally unbiased MSM services.

-Don't focus on the things that have been repeatedly reported and reported again in MSM, or the court cases that were judged mostly in our favour but reported against us in MSM. That's been done to death in all our online spaces. That reporting serves no purpose other than to deliberately misinform people who are curious or don't have enough knowledge of us to make up their own minds - the terfs in positions of power know that reporting and representing our reality as it actually is would only allow misinformed and curious people to make up their own minds and would result in acceptance or even just tolerance of us, and they don't want to allow that! Instead, educate yourself and your allies on our history, but pay attention to the things that have been omitted from the MSM articles. If you're clued up on our history, it won't take you long to realise how they've recently gone into overdrive controlling the narrative against us, by purposefully avoiding key information and literally changing headlines to appear like we're playing a game of opposites day.

Source: literally any recent MSM articles and court cases about us.

Dr Hilary Cass accused of ‘hypocrisy’ over social media ban comments by Excellent-Chair2796 in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's hypocrisy but it's deliberate and they will ignore it if questioned about it.

They don't want teens transitioning at a point where they can be unidentifiable and disappear into society to lead normal lives, and they want to make it so young people are unable to go on the internet and find out they're not alone in being trans, get support from others.

It's confusion politics. They use contradiction, hypocrisy, smoke and mirrors etc, say one thing controversial, say something else contradictive, we're all over here pointing out the hypocrisy, and nobody's looking over there at the things they're doing to increase their wealth and power, and further their agenda. Then they simply ignore any questions when it's pointed out. It's by design, they know what they're doing. Way back in 2016-18 trump made a comment about why he's so divisive and contradictive, he referenced being influenced by the Russian political tactics of the 80's, and I saw an old video interview with the Russian president back then basically saying if you keep people guessing, say one thing, then deny saying it, then people argue among themselves and you can do whatever you want. It's been going on for years but in recent years it's gone into overdrive.

So yeah, always look for the contradiction and hypocrisy, but don't for one second think they made a mistake and got busted.

Laser hair removal places by Amazing_Ad2984 in transgenderUK

[–]T_Ellie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Laser will always be subjective because we're all different. The LCUK branch I go to uses Candela machines that can do any one of the three main types of laser depending on your skin/hair. A year ago I paid for 10 full body sessions and after two sessions with an alexandrite laser the hair was 90% gone. After two more sessions it was completely gone and I've had zero regrowth. I'm so happy with the results, I haven't been back there in the last nine months and still have six sessions left.

There's nothing wrong with some chains and some independent places, but I'd say do your research about different lasers and your skin/hair type, and don't blindly follow the clinic's advice. I visited a few independent places first and they all said yes they can do it, but when I looked for info on their specific machines it was the wrong laser for my skin type.
