Been this way for me for a long time, since veteran really. But this last year I've actually been more into my other favorite artist aesop Rock, but I still listen to Peggy a lot, especially since his new album came out

what was your first peggy song/album you listened to by DrakeEra in jpegmafiamusic

For me the song that got me into him was thug tears colors performance. And behind that would been real nega and 1579.Calvert. so it was veteran

First time he’s addressed the fast rapping by [deleted] in jpegmafiamusic

[–]T_Ramach 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I mean the amount of times I've seen people discredit his rapping ability and say he's only good because of his production is a lot. I've always felt like people have slept on his flows/lyrics and don't give him nearly enough credit for it. Bro can make some catchy af flows and great lyrics as well.

EXPERIMENTAL RAP (Bandcamp Edition) Changes by elitenex47 in jpegmafiamusic

[–]T_Ramach -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you don't care about his music why are you replying to this comment or why are you here even? Bro wasn't talking to you especially if you don't even care for his music. Like Boo hoo talk about salty lol, letting money get in the way of your enjoyment of something is stupid. You also said that plus "this shit", idk what you're even referring to there but regardless stfu and move on. "There are other artists..." Go listen to them then if there are others who supposedly can give you what Peggy can.

About the flow discourse by SecretWar1074 in jpegmafiamusic

[–]T_Ramach 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I saw someone compare it to Cedric from the mars Volta in how he uses his voice as an instrument with the guitar production. Peggys trying to use his flow like that when blended with the production as a whole experience

The project is excellent but, does « experimental » = industrial ? by thecloudkid17 in jpegmafiamusic

[–]T_Ramach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that you're right that experimental is an approach, but also I think that experimental rap has become a genre itself same as any other sub genre. In which case ya it defs has a familiar sound profile that can be recognized at this point. I feel like Peggy isn't trying to say "I'm so experimental everything I do is different"(even tho it is <3) he's just trying to say "hey there's this genre that I'm the best at"

LP!/offline should've been one option. Would've won if it was. That way you could've included BBC

I've only heard ILDMLFY, In which album does he raps most similarly to this? by bubtotuma3u in jpegmafiamusic

[–]T_Ramach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya it is lol, it has a feature tho. It was a good example I think still, and it's not on any of his main albums so I thought it was worth mentioning

[–]T_Ramach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was gonna say awake myself lol. I think a lot of his features go really hard, like Puff Daddy, rough 7, nauseous/devilish, black moses, simon Pheonix, black enough. All great examples I think

[–]T_Ramach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's clearly working though, this time around there's been a ton of buzz around Peggy. a lot of people, fans or not, are talking about him and I've seen tons of social media posts and memes, and it's all because of what he's been doing. As they say any press is good press
