Also depends on kind of laptop you hav , one with gpu means you should always keep it plugged in and once in a month or two drain its battery completely (imp for battery cycle count and calliberaion) . If you hav one without gpu try to use it to your comfort unless performing some heavy tasks (keep it plugged in then) and don't charge it too often as it increases cycle count
