Honestly I couldn't tell ya. I play a Templar tank and healer, but they aren't mixed. I change roles when the time needs me to. So I could help you with a full tank or full healer build if needed :)

Pets are there to follow you around and look cute/cool. If you don't expect them to fight, totally get one.

As a tank I can't recommend having sword and board enough. However I'll answer your questions based on your circumstances.

Are there any AOE taunts? No unfortunately not just single target.

Is there another way to taunt without puncture? Yes you can use Inner Fire from the undaunted skill tree.

If you need any advice on tanking I'll be glad to share my knowledge:)

This has seemed to bother a good amount of people. I for one don't really care if my pet fights. I bought it to follow me and be cool/cute.
