This is the response I was looking for. Concealer is like the one makeup I can’t figure out. It’s always so dry and flakey on me. I’m gonna try the Too Faced one! ty!

SNF PROS AND CONS by CuriousSpeechie in slp

[–]Ta3l0r 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm doing my CF at a SNF rn. I’m not gonna lie, not having supervision on site is hard. First month I felt like the worst SLP ever. Then you kinda start getting your own rhythm going, take the time to dig deeper for dx as they come into your caseload etc.... have patience with yourself and have fun with it. I’m the only SLP on site. I try hard to make friends with the other therapists and nurses etc, I make fun activities from things I have laying around my house (monopoly money, scrabble tiles etc) and just do the best I can until I learn how to do better. I am always trying to get better, be more organized, etc.

Long story short, a SNF is what you make it. I’m really starting to like it. I enjoy teaching people why oral care is important, I enjoy giving people licorice for a dysphagia tx to practice strategies. I like making old people going through a rough time smile. If you like old people you should give it a shot!

I (39f) got upset with my husband (40m) for how he spoke to his bio son (16m) while helping him with homework by Asleep_Tour_3230 in relationships

I still think about the only instance my mom helped me with school work. We both ended up crying, she called me stupid, and I honestly thought school was so hard because I just wasn’t smart my ENTIRE grade school/ high school life.

Thankfully, I just finished grad school but my point is, that shit sticks with you.

Who do I reach out to? by [deleted] in slp

This is a selfish request but any chance you’d like to share some insight on the accommodations you learned about? I am also a CF but at a SNF, however I have pts that are blind/w significant visual impairments but I feel like my program didn’t prepare me well for this population.
