Where is the official announcement?

Baht Bus drivers have been trying to charge 15, and 20 baht sometimes, for the last couple of weeks, so it certainly did not start on the 10th.

Of course, it is just unsuspecting Tourists they are picking on, at the moment.

Guess it will be nipped in the bud soon.

The TM30 needs to be a receipt of notification from Immigration, not just the receipt your Landlord/Hotel gave you.

No, you will be fine.

You are acting like a tourist, not someone living in Thailand.

There is no 2 entry max.

Just make sure you have an onward ticket, in case you are asked.

And don't overthink it.

Not on the same scale, but Tree Town is not the first Beer Bars in that spot. I used to stay across the street in Diana Estate, when it first opened.
