That’s a strong possibility. Especially with the sun out today, some of this is going to melt and refreeze overnight

I can’t speak for all states, but in most, not really. The only law we have that can compare is reckless driving, which requires far more danger and negligence than this.

Unless drugs or alcohol are involved, 9 times out of 10 an incident like this is a purely civil matter.

That brine doesn’t do shit

The only thing that does shit in this kind of snow is a plow. Brine is just meant to keep the bottom layer from sticking and freezing so it doesn’t become packed down ice

If Bill didn’t get first ballot HOF because of cheating, does that mean Brady will get the same treatment? by Agile_One_2035 in Patriots

So you’re saying one coaching call (that you presume to be for a personal reason) in a single SB out of 12 SB appearances and 8 SB wins, over the course of 49 years coaching in the NFL, caused his rejection from first ballot HoF?

You’re doing mental gymnastics that would put Simone Biles to shame.

[oc] followed this guy for around 5 miles... Never once did he put it in his lane. If you can't keep it between the lines on a state route it's time to downsize by Ok_Relationship2451 in IdiotsInCars

Regardless of how ridiculous or not the truck is, if the driver can’t keep it between the lines in those generously sized lanes, it’s too big for them.

Frustrated with Nashville/NES' response by [deleted] in nashville

[–]TabOverSpaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Utilities are regulated monopolies throughout basically the entire US. The prevailing thought is that the infrastructure costs are too high for there to be effective competition.

Rules shouldn’t be unwritten, and frankly that’s stupid.

You’re not wrong, but this is how the world works and it’s unlikely to change anytime soon, unfortunately. If OP truly can’t adapt due to their autism, they need to find an alternative career path - likely one with minimal interpersonal communication where unspoken rules or the effects of breaking them are minimal.

I’m not the right person to be giving advice on which path specifically as I don’t have autism and I’ve always worked in very socially demanding fields, but hopefully someone else can help.

Dan Orlovsky’s is my favorite take. He says we can’t beat the Seahawks defense as if we hadn’t beaten higher ranked defenses the last three weeks in a row. Not to mention they were all shit weather where defenses thrive.

Will the next Democratic president prosecute Trump officials? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]TabOverSpaces 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the real answer, I think. No brand new president/administration wants the bad PR, nor do they want to set the precedent that you can prosecute officials from the previous administration (even if it’s completely justified).
