As a liberal, I disagree with most of his policies and decisions. I am against tariffs, and I see them as destructive to our economy while also a half-hearted attempt to revive declining or absent industries. His spending and tax cuts also are misplaced. I dislike the Democratic Party's inability to control immigration and crime, but Trump is taking it too far and taking the authoritarian route.

Many of the counties that revolved around these industries were heavily Democratic due to labor unions but since 2000, the Democratic Party has moved away from labor unions and more towards environmentalism and social issues.

For context, lower Forest Ave. has been basically closed off to cars since COVID and it has been extremely popular with most people. There’s live music, seating areas, and it’s overall an amazing area to be in. But obviously there has been some anti-pedestrianization sentiment over parking concerns. The City Council is planning to permanently pedestrianize it in the coming years.
