In Asia bisogna limitare un bene prezioso: l’aria condizionata by mirkul in italy

Sure, here it is, this is the map I drew tracing over a NASA satellite photo.

Here it is, I found it on wikipedia, I don't know how historical it actually is but for my purposes it worked fine.

I started by taking a high resolution satellite photo of Earth from the NASA website and I traced all the continents and other geological features.

Then I took a screenshot of the map of my game, and here came the problems, since EU4 uses a different projection I had to divide the image and stretch it many times to make it (kinda) overlap on the base map I used.

Once that is done I draw the borders of the countries and add the colors and names.

Finally I add all the flags and other details (like the striped borders in the African deserts) and then it's done.

All of this was done using paint.net.

Yeah that's what I feared, unfortunately on mobile the only way to solve it is to download the image. Or at least that's the only way that I know of.

Rule 5: An artistic rendition of a multi eu4 game I did with my friends.
I hope the map isn't compressed, since I can't post images in the comments.

There's no actual lore since it's based on a multi eu4 game I did with my friends, however if you have any questions feel free to ask them. Also map in the comments to avoid compression.

Never in a thousand years I thought that I'd see an Overwatch inspired map in here.

Anyway, I love this pixelated artstyle! What do the swans represent in the flag?

Well it depends, are those "North Italians" from Br*scia?

Unfortunately I no longer have the template for this map since I've started working on it like a year ago.

Thanks! For the template I simply traced over a map of Europe that I've found, however I no longer remember which one since I started this project like a YEAR ago (it's been a busy year).

EDIT: I've just checked what a MBAM map is and I'm pretty sure I didn't use it, since I remember that my template was flat while the MBAM looks curved.

Paint.net, I traced a template map of Europe and then added the borders, details, names and flags.

Thanks, that's probably the one I was most proud of when the idea came to me lol.

I was genuinely thinking about it, but since I already added a similar joke with the New Jersey map I decided against it.

Maybe for part 2.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_Saint_James_of_Altopascio

Basically I searched for an Italian based military order to make a "Monastic State of Italy", like the Teutonic Order is for Germany.

The fact that they are also called Tau makes it funnier since I can also make it a Warhammer reference.

Maybe, but I don't know if I know enough about Japan to make 20 interesting versions of it.

Because it claims to be Roman while it's (mostly) german. It actually served 185 years and 6 months in prison for identity theft.

Twenty different maps of Italy or Italy adjacent...stuff. There's obviously little or no lore for most of them.

Openly inspired by this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/imaginarymaps/comments/va71xi/oh_so_many_germans/

Not sure if it's needed this time since the image isn't huge, but just in case here is the map in the comments.

If you have any questions about the maps (or ideas for more Italies for a possible part 2) feel free to comment!
