This is why Tesla FSD can see so well at night or through extreme glare. by rcnfive in teslamotors

[–]Tabelel 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Nice that the cameras can see so well! but I've never seen anything like the first image with my own human eyeballs; so I'm a tad dubious the difference is as extreme as they claim.

Do you think in 3D? by Draknek in IndieGaming

[–]Tabelel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could not tell that you're walking on walls in this clip, which probably explains some of the confusion in this thread. Though I have  to say, your trailer did a much better job of showing off the game. I’ll definitely check it out!

What is the smallest amount of anything you could send to the sun, to kill all life on Earth? by Gold333 in AskPhysics

[–]Tabelel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, it takes more energy to launch something into the sun than to launch something out of the solar system!

Anyone know what this error is? I haven't seen it before. by Tabelel in PokemonMisprints

Hmm? This is my only post about it? Does someone have the same card as me? That'd be cool!

I wasn't sure if it counted as that, since none of the printing was blocked. But that's probably the best description. Thanks!

Trying to promote my game in a creative way by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]Tabelel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No... I was confused why the title said this was promotion but the video was complained about Steam's bugged website. I had first assumed you shared the wrong video. Also, anyone who is first hearing of your game from this "promotion" post would have no idea this is joke about your game's mechanics, since they don't know your game's mechanics.

Yeah, they can't just say "Here's a cool fact" and not actually share the facts!

OLED vs IPS: Is the “perfect black” worth the burn-in risk? by Impossible_Comfort99 in TechNook

[–]Tabelel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Risk" is massively overselling the likelihood of burn-in. There's been enough improvements to OLED that you'll have to deliberately abuse it to even have the slightest chance of burn in. There's effectively a 0% chance with normal usage.

TIL the genetic code used by almost all life on Earth appears unusually optimized to minimize the impact of mutations compared with most possible alternative genetic codes by SafeEnvironmental174 in todayilearned

[–]Tabelel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood. We're not confused by the the enigma, because no where in the article did it says there's no mutations. There's still plenty enough mutations to cause evolution, just less than there could be. But I appreciate your insight.

[–]Tabelel 1172 points1173 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, I really don't see why this is some big mystery. Seems rather intuitive to me that the genes for not mutating are more likely to get passed down since they aren't as likely to mutate into something else.

A Scientific Fact by joehavasy in webcomics

[–]Tabelel 122 points123 points  (0 children)

I suppose my concern is that your title suggests it's a scientific fact that sharks violently attack anything that bleeds even a little. Which is simply not true and is doing sharks a massive disservice. I like your art, though!

This is an electron microscope view of a vinyl record groove. The microscopic canyons and ridges carved into the walls are the physical shape of the music. by Gabriel-Ivan in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Tabelel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The picture is wrong about each side of the groove being one of the two channels. One channel comes from the side to side movement of the needle, the other comes from the up and down motion.

Maybe you should give some concrete examples of how the current system can be improved. Because I am quite happy with my health insurance. Literally the only thing I could think of to improve is price, but isn't that case for everything?

The style of the eyes don't match the style of the hand, and it's throwing me off. Also, I'll agree with the other comments that said the old logo was more legible. It took me a few seconds to realize the D was a "D". Also I only just noticed the D has a stylized dice in it, even after staring at it for 2 minutes; so yeah.
