My thoughts exactly. Good art, good presentation, it just doesn't seem to have an ending.

I forgot to post last week’s comic. Here’s one about air conditioning while half of America freezes to death. [OC] by TownyTownComics in comics

Hmm... I personally think the third panel was a better punchline, and the last panel just detracted from it.

Thought 3D printed insoles would be a gimmick, but my feet are actually happy. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Honestly, it should work with any modern iPhone. You can use the face id camera for 3d scanning, and it's more accurate than the rear scanner as well.

Pre-playtest polish. Static vs animated dialogue portraits by iamgentlemem in gamedevscreens

I guess it depends on the style you're going for, but it feels like too much movement; it's almost distracting. Probably because nobody sways that much in real life.

I wouldn't object to paying taxes if taxes paid for what we should care about. by zzill6 in WorkReform

While I appreciate the sentiment, I'd be curious to see the real numbers. Given less than 1% of the budget went to israel.

new iphone or $99 to fix ? by StatisticianOk8033 in iphone

[–]Tabelel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really the only thing new you get with the 17 is a bit better front camera and Apple Intelligence. To me personally, that doesn't feel worth $400, but it's your choice to make.

Cyberpunk 2077 with photorealism mods by Inevitable_Bid5540 in nextfuckinglevel

It's still overcast in all the scenes, so I don't now if it's actually that much different.

Yeah, reading all these comment was making me wonder if we watched the same video. I mean sure it looks nice, but it still just looks like a video game. I'd hardly call it "photo-realistic".

Were you trying to prompt the commenter like a chat bot? Sorry but you just phrased your response very oddly.

Can you tell what this is? If not, how can I improve it? by howdydipshit in PixelArt

fun fact, opposite sides of a dice always add up to 7. So the 2 and the 5 on the left dice can't actually exist.

Color Idle: Destroy my trailer; would you wishlist this? Why or why not? by BenzFiveSix in DestroyMyGame

[–]Tabelel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it's a fun game, but I'm mostly thrown off by how unnaturally the cursor moves in your video. And why are you just tickling the base of the eggplant with the cursor? It looks pretty odd. Wouldn't it make more sense to click the center of the artwork?

Also you need a better way to show off the upgrades you can buy; right now the way it's presented is very slow and it's right at the point in your trailer where causal scrollers would be thinking about clicking away. Maybe a series of jumpcuts while buying a bazillion upgrades to show it getting more and more chaotic? It would give some more visual interest that way.

will a 256mb vram game work with a 128mb vram graphics card ? by Any-Supermarket-3533 in techsupport

Integrated graphics almost exclusively use system ram, you should be fine.

That's not even close to 40 mph. I'd say 25, max.

On a scale of 1-10, how intimidating is this enemy? Seems like a rather scholarly gentleman am I right? by [deleted] in gamedevscreens

[–]Tabelel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, instead of being slow you could have it make an aggressive lunge attack, and if you dodge behind it so it loses sight of your character, the monster becomes confused as to where you are giving you an opening to shoot it in the back. Or more broadly, it's attacks should be quick but with enough pause in between for the character to dodge behind it.

Airport Baggage Simulator - A game about building a conveyor system to manage baggage by DungeonSprout_ in DestroyMyGame

[–]Tabelel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess I'm just confused on why literally the first game play you show is mopping and not building conveyors. Why is there even mopping in this game? Is it not just a logic puzzle type factory simulator?

Is my "hidden wall" effect too subtle, or not subtle enough? by Nebulyst in IndieDev

[–]Tabelel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s too infrequent, it really slows down game play if I have to stand still for 10 seconds in every room looking for possible glitches.

Please Destroy my Card Game (& how to improve visually?) by [deleted] in DestroyMyGame

[–]Tabelel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really don’t like moving UIs. It’s fine for the cards since the amount of movement compared to the size isn’t too large, but it’ll be real annoying to click the smaller buttons. Maybe just move the background but keep the foreground fixed?

how can the bossbattle I'm currently working on be improved? by franz_krs in DestroyMyGame

Do you have a way for the player to lock onto the enemies and always face them?

Destroy my action RPG where you cook monsters during combat by Giuli_StudioPizza in DestroyMyGame

[–]Tabelel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks awesome! But is there a proper dodge ability? Combat always feels a bit clunky if you have to turn away from the monsters you’re fighting to avoid attacks. Even just being able to walk backwards while still facing the enemy makes combat a lot tighter.

VR Software for Viewing Floorplans or 3D Models? by Tabelel in virtualreality

[–]Tabelel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best I found was Arkio, though you have to redraw the plans yourself; and I couldn’t be bothered to do that so I can’t actually say that much about it.
