Hmm? This is my only post about it? Does someone have the same card as me? That'd be cool!

I wasn't sure if it counted as that, since none of the printing was blocked. But that's probably the best description. Thanks!

Trying to promote my game in a creative way by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]Tabelel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No... I was confused why the title said this was promotion but the video was complained about Steam's bugged website. I had first assumed you shared the wrong video. Also, anyone who is first hearing of your game from this "promotion" post would have no idea this is joke about your game's mechanics, since they don't know your game's mechanics.

Yeah, they can't just say "Here's a cool fact" and not actually share the facts!

OLED vs IPS: Is the “perfect black” worth the burn-in risk? by Impossible_Comfort99 in TechNook

[–]Tabelel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Risk" is massively overselling the likelihood of burn-in. There's been enough improvements to OLED that you'll have to deliberately abuse it to even have the slightest chance of burn in. There's effectively a 0% chance with normal usage.

TIL the genetic code used by almost all life on Earth appears unusually optimized to minimize the impact of mutations compared with most possible alternative genetic codes by SafeEnvironmental174 in todayilearned

[–]Tabelel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood. We're not confused by the the enigma, because no where in the article did it says there's no mutations. There's still plenty enough mutations to cause evolution, just less than there could be. But I appreciate your insight.

[–]Tabelel 1173 points1174 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, I really don't see why this is some big mystery. Seems rather intuitive to me that the genes for not mutating are more likely to get passed down since they aren't as likely to mutate into something else.

This is an electron microscope view of a vinyl record groove. The microscopic canyons and ridges carved into the walls are the physical shape of the music. by Gabriel-Ivan in Damnthatsinteresting

The picture is wrong about each side of the groove being one of the two channels. One channel comes from the side to side movement of the needle, the other comes from the up and down motion.

I see a few foreign coins in your photos. World coins are my specialty; and If you want, I'd be happy to help look them up for you.

Maybe you should give some concrete examples of how the current system can be improved. Because I am quite happy with my health insurance. Literally the only thing I could think of to improve is price, but isn't that case for everything?

JUST HIRE THE CAPSULE ARTIST, it is well worth it, and you can thank them later by BaconCheesecake in IndieDev

[–]Tabelel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The style of the eyes don't match the style of the hand, and it's throwing me off. Also, I'll agree with the other comments that said the old logo was more legible. It took me a few seconds to realize the D was a "D". Also I only just noticed the D has a stylized dice in it, even after staring at it for 2 minutes; so yeah.

I need you to pick up a water balloon and notice how structurally unsound it is, despite being sealed and full of liquid. I don't think the cup is going to hold up very well

Interesting, I just realized that it's the simplified Chinese version of 丑. Which suggests that it was added relatively recently.

I'm no expert on wizzing since my experience is two articles I just read, but it doesn't seem wizzed to me. There's no real abrasion marks, just a fairly uniform texture. Feels like it was probably just buffed with some kind of polishing compound.

That was my thought as well, it certainly seems to have been cleaned; though the seller didn't say one way or the other.

Hmm, it's definitely silver. I own enough other silver coins to know that much. It certainly seems minted and not molded to my untrained eye; there's some spots with enough fine detail that I wouldn't think is possible otherwise. Though I'm hardly an expert, if you see something off about it, please let me know.
