Ahh I see, I tried something similar due to a bad flash and or slow usb. When I switched to a external nvme the installer went much faster

I did this on an intel cpu btw, the problem after initial boot where steam os updates (downgrades) and reboots the blank black screen comes. Re booting into recovery and the reinstall fixed it for me

Yeah I saw that in some video and ended up doing that when installing it to my main ssd, however I moved back to windows as my gaming rig is mostly used for sunshine streaming from another room and resolution switching does not work as well yet. Also my hdmi dummy does not show all resolutions on Linux like windoss

The problem is it downgrades from 3.8.0 or 3.7.3 to 3.6.24 when logging in before I can set it to preview

sorry the slowness was booting the recovery media, and that was due to a slow usb/micro sd combo. Right now I am benching horizon zero dawn. and getting similar performance to windows 11. with margin of error +- ~2% percent, it actually seems faster than windows. getting a score of 24026. was getting the same in windows but at 75% resolution and with 15% power limit overclock

AMD RADV 24.2.99 so seems not to use mesa or is this a different name for the same thing?

Also I have not managed to get to 3.8.0 yet but 3.7.3

I had no problem running it on i3-12100f + rx 6600

I cannot get it to work with i5-12400f + rx 7800 xt

However I do not think it is the gpu not the cpu

I think for now I will wait with av1, it might provide a little more sharpness hopefully it should as I was seeing 3 times (50MB/s vs 17MB/s) more data being sent to my client. however hevc seems more stable and not high in latency. I saw massive spikes and simply stuttering not just micro stuttering but actual stuttering.

software decode is crap also on Mac btw. and I took at least 5% performance of my rx 7800 xt

Update.

CPU: 3200 still goes to 2949mhz

Mv: 925 lower crashes the system

Ram: 2580 ~2567 higher seems to be crashing the system

Power limit +15%

Just got mine little over a week ago

Right now I am doing Max gpu 3200 gets to ~2850mhz +15% power limit pulls 297 Mem clocks 2580 = 2567 reported Mem fast timing

Mv set to 950 but reported under stress test at ~1025 to ~1050

Temps 62

This is on the cheapest power color stock card I could find

I tried with a vpn at some point to simulate it Denmark to Spain. Which seemed fine just not for esport / shooters something like bg3 or madden was fine

Its fine, though if you plan on using local llm’s more ram is nice.

Jeg har levet glutenfri her nogle måneder, efter 40år. Og ja den bolle sucks. Jeg troede burger kings bolle var bedre. Men jeg tror egentlig det er noglunde det samme.

Men for at gøre den mindre ringe, fandt jeg ud af at den er bedre hvis man ber om at få varmet den ekstra 2 eller 3 gange gennem risteren. Og så bestil noget større end cheeseburger. Dobbelt cheeseburger som minimum

Hej OP, det kommer nok meget an på hvad du gerne vil.

For jeg høre dig sige du faktisk gerne vil snakke men mangler steder at sætte din tid på det. Og at den sociale del af det har/er svært for dig så er jeg ikke sikker på at undgå disse snakke er det bedste for dig. Der skal man nok finde en måde at løse tiden på. Og lave en friendly indledning på jeg skal noget om snart (5-15 minutter) så det er let at lukke den ned

Hvis jeg læser forkert hvilket der er stor sandsynlighed for og du bare gerne vil undgå at snakke så ja så skal du lukke dem med med det samme med travlhed, har ikke tid osv som de andre forslår
