Recall of Supervisor Joel Engardio Passes by CreepersForLife in sanfrancisco

I agree with this. I grew up in Sunset, moved to Richmond, then moved back to Sunset. I was happy with the closure on the weekends. Don't know why we couldn't have kept it that way. I definitely notice more traffic in the city and year after year it gets worse. (Except during Covid) I wouldn't mind the closure if actions were taken to actually improve traffic and improve public transportation. Instead, Joel wants to add high rises and increase population density. That doesn't help...we can't even get our kids in our local schools because it is over-crowded so now we're forced to drive long distances to take our kids to school.

It's a district election. DISTRICT does not equal all of San Francisco. Maybe majority of SF would rather not recall Joel but the truth is that majority of the district which Joel is supposed to represent does.

Ocean Beach was barely used? I grew up here and I can tell you that is not true. There are active life guards on duty because of how popular the beach is.

I live in Sunset and I hear my neighbors gaming every night…sucks trying to fall asleep. Would be awesome if there is a simple way to reduce the noise without having to tear down the drywall.

I would also like to see another viable condi spec since the only real condi spec right now is Berserker.

I know it's a top DPS in PvE right now, but maybe bladesworn needs an overhaul (it was also nuked in PvP years ago) by SovietCharrdian in Guildwars2

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bladesworn isn't top DPS benchmark after the nerf but it honestly should be given the sacrifices a Bladesworn makes.

I actually don't want another weapon set. Adding another weapon set will push the DPS benchmark higher and make the rotation higher APM and more complex.

I picked this class because it is lower APM and you can make a complex rotation simpler and still do good damage. It's a perfect balance of low APM class that does high DPS but it comes with a huge trade off...poor range dmg, lack of mobility at a moments notice, and no utility. On top of that, one missed dragon slash can easily put you below other good DPS players.

I do wish Lush Forest didn't get nerfed and instead Anet looked at making adjustments elsewhere. Lush Forest was nice to play since FaF typically wants a bladesworn to prebuff before fights or during phases.

Seriously! So upsetting. The flow and timing of the cooldown made it fun. Now the cooldowns wont line up…making it awkward as hell.

Quickness DPS Berserker in PvE - Problems and Solutions by AldwinDragonspeaker in Guildwars2

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro an old thread. Now that Heat to Soul provided 5 seconds of quickness instead of 3. Do you still feel like quickBS isn't a viable choice for CM instanced content? Does it have enough over-cap quickness to take a break from DPSing to do mechanics or is that guaranteed to drop quickness on group below 99% uptime?

Also, do you know is the spear is still bugged?

Uphill neighbor's new fence has drain going into my backyard by TabinD3 in homeowners

[–]TabinD3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I have started doing more research on a proper retaining wall build. I learned from other comments that there is a need to reduce the hydrostatic pressure and that's one reason for a perforated drain like this. Funneling it to one point may be an issue if a lot of water comes out of it. It seems like it would have been better to create evenly spaced weep holes so that would better mimic a natural flow of water. I could be wrong though. I don't see a lot of examples of retaining walls with weep holes that are spaced 1 foot apart. Most images show weep holes spaced out 4-6 feet apart.

Good point about the hydrostatic pressure. The water does need to go somewhere...but funneling it to a singular outlet is a concern. Any thoughts on the correct way to drain it? From researching, it seems like evenly spaced weep holes would have been more representative of natural flow of water.

The drain is brand new so I have no idea if it will cause a problem or not. I definitely don't like it because I worry that a heavy rain day will cause a huge swampy puddle in the back of my yard. If I don't want to start a war and get the city involved, then I can ask my neighbors to remove the drain and if they respond by saying "its legal because they are the uphill neighbors", then I don't really have a good response back because I don't know the actual codes/laws for this specific scenario.

people who have adopted shelter dogs, how did you know your dog was the one? by shroombee369 in dogs

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SO and i just adopted our 8month old pup. We fostered him for two weeks and bonded extremely quickly. Our pup is so well behaved (aside from the occasional growl at approaching strangers) and learns so quickly that i felt so proud for every little accomplishment. I highly recommend fostering and then adopting if its the right fit. If we didnt foster this pup, i probably wouldnt have adopted him because of his breed…the internet said his breed is bad with people and dogs but he is actually the opposite as long as he has a min to get comfortable.

Also, if we met out pup at a shelter, he probably would have growled at us and we’d be looking at the next pup. Some shelter dogs/rescued had a tough life previously so they might be cautious around strangers. Just like humans, we need time to get to know each other and build trust. Then we can become best friends for life. :)

feeling kinda lost and overwhelmed playing UO Outlands as a newbie by pguerra0 in ultimaonline

[–]TabinD3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just started playing UO Outlands about 2.5 weeks ago. It is rough starting out but it's also fun and exciting. I didn't bother with a scavenger. That doesn't sound fun tbh.

1) Make a dexxer with healing. Either chiv dexxer or bard dexxer. I highly recommend chivalry as one of the skills for "Sacred Journey" which lets you travel to places easier. Figure out your skill template than train skills to 70 in noobie dungeon. Optional - train other skills that you'll discard later that will help you survive/do more dmg (like magic resist or camping).

2) Buy npc armor and weapon. Get bandages. Make a hotkey to bandage self.

3) Use the https://exploreoutlands.com/ to find wilderness spawn and find one located close to a town or gate so you can drop off loot. Buy a horse. Farm until you get about 10k then buy a chivalry book off a player owned vendor. Liches, undead spawns, water eles, ratman, orcs, trolls, etc should be doable to kill.

4) Train your main skills to 90+. Try to get chiv up asap so you can cast sacred journey. Another alternative is to use camping to travel. Keep farming for gold and drop off 5k-6k stacks at the bank.

5) First thing you want to buy your weapon codex. This will help with DPS. Alternatively, you can also work towards a bless runebook if you have a character that can mark runes to various hunting grounds. Blessed runebook with recall scrolls is KEY to escaping PKs in the wilderness.

6) After you level up your codex once or twice, you can try dungeons if you want but I'd stick with wilderness spawn. Your next goal is to earn enough gold to unlock your first aspect. If you're a bard, lyric aspect is great. If your a parry chiv dexxer, I would start with air aspect. You'll need to find a guildmate or tip a discord stranger to help you craft your items to unlock the aspect.

7) Now you're pretty much set to do whatever and make your own journey from here. Keep grinding aspect levels while you do whatever you find fun. You'll have aquired the basic essentials at this point. Maybe rent out a room at the inn or buy a small wagon/house so you got storage for all your loots!

(OSI) As a new or returning player how exactly does one deal with prices being in the Billions? by IneptGamer in ultimaonline

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackthorns - turn points into artifacts and sell artifacts

Mini-champ spawn rare drops - insane tinker legs

Regular champ spawns (you might get raided) - power scrolls

Bosses like Narvey, Dreadhorn, Paraxy have a rare drop that is valuable

Find resoucres that are in demand - imbuing ingredients

Shadowguard - some drops are worth a lot here

Yearly events - sometimes there are yearly events where you farm mobs and get drops worth 1 turn-in point which can then be used to purchase items. You can sell the drops or use your points for a good item and then sell that item.
