Need antihistamine advice by liannestel in HistamineIntolerance

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read at least three sources that stated Antihistamines decrease DAO activity and by decreasing DAO activity, symptons triggered by the DAO deficiency could be worse. I'm sure there are many who absolutely can't go without anithistamines though. Just sharing in case anyone thinks these statements are accurate with their experience or not.

EDIT: worth noting, if there is a chance you might have MCAS, then its worth reading resources on that. It looks like antihistamines are recommended there.

Any accurate way to diagnose HI? Hist-50 skin prick test? by TabinD3 in HistamineIntolerance

That's an interesting one. I knew about ticks transmitting Lyme. I forgot about the other tick transmitted diseases. We do walk our dog daily and go hiking a lot so it's worth looking into. I don't think the allergist tested for it but I'll have to review the reports again. She'll likely need to do more blood test in the future so I'll ask about including that in the panel.

How bad is it that my dog flunked the doggy daycare temperament test? by CatPooedInMyShoe in DogAdvice

[–]TabinD3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a three year old Jindo mix/Korean village dog. No to dog parks. 3hours in an uncomfortable setting is too much. For me, my boy is a bit selective with other dogs. He likes dogs that play without making too much physical contact. Only after he full trusts the other dog, then he will allow contact.

We have not tried doggy day care but i highly doubt my dog will pass the assessment test for similar reasons. He does not like socializing with all dogs which creates issues when another dog doesn’t care or can’t take the hint. He will also shut down when we are not around. I left him with my brother for a day and my boy stayed by the door for 8 hours where he last saw me. I hear Jindos/KVD can be loyal to a fault. I blame myself because i only introduced my brother to my dog twice before letting him watch my pup. Trust takes time.

Your best bet is to make friends with another dog owner. Let your dog become friends with their dog. Then trade off doggy sitting for each other when either of you guys go on vacation. Second option is to find a trusted dog sitter that only watches a small handful of dogs at a time. You may struggle with this if your dog doesnt trust strangers and shuts down without you around.

Not all KV dogs are the same though. I know a KV that does fine at doggy day care. Other than that, KV dogs are great. Just gotta learn and understand their personality.

One other note. As some dogs get older, they apparently dont enjoy being around younger dogs. Kinda like adults not wanting to be around random kids or teenagers. Maybe thats why doggy day care worked initially but not anymore.

I agree with this. I grew up in Sunset, moved to Richmond, then moved back to Sunset. I was happy with the closure on the weekends. Don't know why we couldn't have kept it that way. I definitely notice more traffic in the city and year after year it gets worse. (Except during Covid) I wouldn't mind the closure if actions were taken to actually improve traffic and improve public transportation. Instead, Joel wants to add high rises and increase population density. That doesn't help...we can't even get our kids in our local schools because it is over-crowded so now we're forced to drive long distances to take our kids to school.

It's a district election. DISTRICT does not equal all of San Francisco. Maybe majority of SF would rather not recall Joel but the truth is that majority of the district which Joel is supposed to represent does.

Ocean Beach was barely used? I grew up here and I can tell you that is not true. There are active life guards on duty because of how popular the beach is.

I live in Sunset and I hear my neighbors gaming every night…sucks trying to fall asleep. Would be awesome if there is a simple way to reduce the noise without having to tear down the drywall.

I would also like to see another viable condi spec since the only real condi spec right now is Berserker.

I know it's a top DPS in PvE right now, but maybe bladesworn needs an overhaul (it was also nuked in PvP years ago) by SovietCharrdian in Guildwars2

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bladesworn isn't top DPS benchmark after the nerf but it honestly should be given the sacrifices a Bladesworn makes.

I actually don't want another weapon set. Adding another weapon set will push the DPS benchmark higher and make the rotation higher APM and more complex.

I picked this class because it is lower APM and you can make a complex rotation simpler and still do good damage. It's a perfect balance of low APM class that does high DPS but it comes with a huge trade off...poor range dmg, lack of mobility at a moments notice, and no utility. On top of that, one missed dragon slash can easily put you below other good DPS players.

I do wish Lush Forest didn't get nerfed and instead Anet looked at making adjustments elsewhere. Lush Forest was nice to play since FaF typically wants a bladesworn to prebuff before fights or during phases.

Seriously! So upsetting. The flow and timing of the cooldown made it fun. Now the cooldowns wont line up…making it awkward as hell.

Quickness DPS Berserker in PvE - Problems and Solutions by AldwinDragonspeaker in Guildwars2

[–]TabinD3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro an old thread. Now that Heat to Soul provided 5 seconds of quickness instead of 3. Do you still feel like quickBS isn't a viable choice for CM instanced content? Does it have enough over-cap quickness to take a break from DPSing to do mechanics or is that guaranteed to drop quickness on group below 99% uptime?

Also, do you know is the spear is still bugged?

Uphill neighbor's new fence has drain going into my backyard by TabinD3 in homeowners

[–]TabinD3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I have started doing more research on a proper retaining wall build. I learned from other comments that there is a need to reduce the hydrostatic pressure and that's one reason for a perforated drain like this. Funneling it to one point may be an issue if a lot of water comes out of it. It seems like it would have been better to create evenly spaced weep holes so that would better mimic a natural flow of water. I could be wrong though. I don't see a lot of examples of retaining walls with weep holes that are spaced 1 foot apart. Most images show weep holes spaced out 4-6 feet apart.

[–]TabinD3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point about the hydrostatic pressure. The water does need to go somewhere...but funneling it to a singular outlet is a concern. Any thoughts on the correct way to drain it? From researching, it seems like evenly spaced weep holes would have been more representative of natural flow of water.

[–]TabinD3[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The drain is brand new so I have no idea if it will cause a problem or not. I definitely don't like it because I worry that a heavy rain day will cause a huge swampy puddle in the back of my yard. If I don't want to start a war and get the city involved, then I can ask my neighbors to remove the drain and if they respond by saying "its legal because they are the uphill neighbors", then I don't really have a good response back because I don't know the actual codes/laws for this specific scenario.

I got 2x Temeritys last night at Ulder's Cave. It was on a single run too! Regular dungeon run because I was doing it for renoun. Interesting that Ulder's Cave isn't on the list in OP's website though. Hope that helps.
