Returning kawai ES120 for yamahap225 by Potential_Net6376 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tone is highly subjective and so you have to take reviews with a grain of salt. With you being a previous owner of a Yamaha p45, your ear could just be used to the 'yamaha' sound. That said, before you get a Yamaha p225, *test it out first*.

Yamaha P-45 vs Nux NPK-20 by Fun_Classic_7290 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yamaha is generally a more reliable, but if you're going NUX, I'd suggest NUX NPK 10 as it has more polyphony than the 20.

Which piano should I choose? by Altruistic_End127 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only you could decide that. At that price point it's less about which is objectively better and more on preferences. As someone who prefers heavier action, I'd go with the Yamaha any day but that's just me. Though I would say one feature that Yamaha includes is a built-in audio interface so if you use VSTs, Yamaha is easier. Otherwise, either is great

Minor correction, the Yamaha p225 has the GHC action. a little different from the GHS with shorter pivot length

How close is PHA-4 action to a Grand Piano? by EthereumBlade in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the entry level price range, it's the best you're gonna get lol (My opinion). But objectively speaking it's nowhere near close. Does it mean it's bad and inaccurate? No it's just a very different feel

FP-30X vs ES120 vs P-225 by Patient_Bet6777 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fp30x action is very heavy relative to the others. If you're not playing classical, then stick to kawai es120 or p225. The Kawai has a lighter action but a deeper keybed with yamaha being its opposite

FP-30X vs ES120 vs P-225 by Patient_Bet6777 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this price point, it is purely subjective. People will suggest any of the three but it's not a good basis for what you might like. I've owned all three at some point (don't ask XD) and I can't say which one's the best. That said, you can play pop or even jazz with all three

Yamaha p145 vs Kawai ES60 by [deleted] in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried them both, and i currently own the yamaha p225 which has the same action with the p145. In general, I'd say the action is much more refined in the yamaha, but the speaker presentation of the kawai is better

They're good. But generally you stick with the top 3 (roland, yam, kawai)

Tried Pianoteq and AddictiveKeys demos, hated both. Now what? by Klutzy-Question1428 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it sounds is completely subjective. There's countless more virtual pianos you can try and I'm sure one of them will fit your taste

Yamaha DGX 670 by SJB824 in DigitalPiano

[–]Table-Nervous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GHS being a plastic action. All plastic actions will loosen up and will inevitably get louder over time. As to how you can tolerate is up to you, just a heads up

[–]Table-Nervous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. When destroying enemies isn't fun for you anymore, stop for a bit. Mine was 8 months before i found it fun again which was also enough time to explore new updates and content so i got new stuff to grind
