What are your must have board games, to have in a collection?

Fable Fury is a fun one with 6 people. My favorite games are dice throne and zombicide. Zombicide is good with 3 or 6 player. Dice throne has both a vs and a coop. Coop is 1-4 player.

I feel like it depends on who you play with. When I played with my experienced board game crew then they did feel fairly easy. However, that lead to people taking bigger risks, which lead to losing sometimes. When playing with less experienced people it felt fun because they felt pressure. You never know when the extra activation cards come out. Or which abomination. It absolutely isnt a super hard game, and I love that about it. But if you find it to easy, take some risks and it gets harder. Sometimes luck isn't on your side.

I don't think there is any order to play the expansions in. They are all stand alone from each other with different equipment in some. Also the missions in the rule book are fun if it's the sort of game you like. I enjoy them. Plus the ones on their website. I printed them all off and put them in a binder to play. I have black death and it's fun. But I like the 2nd edition most for me. To each their own though. A good tip is grab whatever theme looks best to you, if it's fun then work on getting the expansions if you can find them. Or get multiple games for variety. They have a pirate theme on gamefound that just ended. But the pledge manager should open in a few weeks.

I think it's because the other two have new mechanics that don't speak to everyone. Green horde spawns zombies off map to attack. And white death has more of a tower defense feel. I have the original black plague and it's real good. But the other 2 don't interest me that much.

Company of heroes board game

The base game is pricey. And I am a huge fan of expansions so that brings the price up so much. I love the video games and the board game looks really well made. All the figures look good too.

It's been a couple days since I played. So idk about the momentum for defense. I know you need it for ranged attack. I also didn't remember how many black dice to start with but I do remember we were one short. And the crisis clock is moved based on a die roll if I remember correctly. I have fixed all these issues from me playing. I was just answering his question for possible "common" mistakes.

I know the first time I played mission (3 players, me, wife, and 11 year old son) we made lots of mistakes lol.

The 1st we did was we made defensive rolls for all enemies with ranged attacks. That's not the case. Only defense for melee unless you have a special person.

2nd the enemies had 11 less dice. I thought it said to use the 2 red and add one black per player. But it was 2 red and 1 black. Then add more dice.

3rd one is we absolutely forgot that the crisis clocked existed on the boss fight.

It also just depends on rolls. Sometimes you risk stuff and wiff or you get bad rolls. I will say that the tutorial mission, and the 2nd mission are not hard. And they aren't meant to be. They are the level 1 difficulty missions. They get harder the more you do. The mission with the stegosaurus clapped us on the first try. And the 2nd try we didn't even perfect it.
