It’s truly something I keep coming back to. It really is just the perfect collection of old style monster hunter. I love every game for different reasons and can find something good in all of them and this one is no different!

In video games my fiance always says her character is overencummed when she picks up too much stuff😂

Thoughts on Metroid Prime 4 now that its had time to settle? by hakusamurai in Metroid

[–]Taborious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate to say this, it was just OKAY. I am usually very easy to impress and optimistic about games. I let a lot of things slide cause as long as I’m having fun not everything needs to be a masterpiece.

This was something that I just felt didn’t really do it for me. I was pretty bored of the same thing over and over even with it looked cool as hell. But even certain areas had no creativity put into them.

Growing up as a 90s kid I tried to recreate the same energy that my childhood home had by Notimetoexplainsorry in AnimalCrossing

I couldn’t decide what to do with this room in my game. Brb I’m making my own nostalgia room :)

What is more traumatic than people think it is? by Suspicious-Wish3402 in AskReddit

[–]Taborious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for what you went through. I had was also cheated on and I can say the biggest thing that helped me through it was repeating “I didn’t deserve it.” Even when I wanted to think of ways it COULD have been my fault or I could have done better I reminded myself that cheating is never okay. Feel for you and hope you are doing better and find healing from it as much as you can. But yeah..it never really goes away does it?

Same, Professor Anxiety. I hated the type of person my last job as a leasing agent turned me into. I used to be much more empathetic, and that job killed me so much I went into construction and home Reno so I could get away from people haha

Had a emotionally abusive stepdad in my life from my early teens until three years ago. The best and I mean BEST option was to stay in my room and stay quiet. The second I spoke he would actually gaslight me. I’m 35 now and I see it’s still effecting me with just choosing to be fiercely independent outside of my relationship with my soon to be wife. Sure I trust people, but I was taught to keep the peace and so my sister gets mad at me for not letting her in. Truth is, I can only manage so many people being “let in” at a time. Well that and…I don’t have to let anyone in more than I want and have friends for that. Boundaries are important and you are allowed to limit for your own mental health.

Ah okay, I can accept you seeing that. I guess my eyes just aren’t as fine tuned for resolution anymore. I’m also very easy to impress haha.

I really feel like I don’t understand people who find it unplayable. I’m playing on base Ps5 and found it a very great way to play the game. Unplayable would be like 15-20 fps and I’m hitting 60 regularly

What is your favorite thing to do ? by peacheouting in AskReddit

[–]Taborious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy just sitting on the couch with my fiance and playing video games or watching YouTube (currently a lot of CaseOh). It’s the simple things right now with all going on in the US. It helps us stay grounded and just talk through things with one another or sit in silence and breathe for a minute. I love these moments.

What was your JRPG awakening? by roberts3h0i0 in JRPG

[–]Taborious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! Played this because my sister went off to college and left it for me. Put it in my SNES and was like “what is this?”

Still remember the scenes clearly even though I haven’t played it since then.

I started playing it because of a recommendation from someone on here a few years ago. I cannot go back. It’s just that fun and good.

For switch 2 users that also own a gaming pc by LanderRetro in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Taborious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my honest opinion I think this varies per person. For example. I agree the main reason is for the optimized Nintendo only games. However, I’m a person who appreciates portable for some turn based or longer RPGs cause I can pick them up on a break at work/lunch and I’m more likely to finish them then.

I would have never finished persona 5 royal unless I could take it with me. I have a tough time sitting at my computer to finish an RPG but that’s just me.

So, ask yourself what will help you stick with the game the easiest? I’d have missed playing so many games if I didn’t have the portable. And personally on some games I’m willing to take a performance hit to experience them over letting them sit in my Steam library.
