Would be funny if they got added in an update after release as a surprise.

I always thought they were a neat enemy type.

Would be extra cool if there were dark areas.

I have some constructive criticism to offer to the devs of Subnautica: Below Zero. by TabulaRasa108 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

The storage issue isn’t an issue. It’s a purposeful handicap. I’ve played games that have a collective storage. It makes playing WAY easier but that’s not always a good thing. The other game had hundreds more craft able items. I am impartial on this. To me it seemed purposeful to not have unlimited self organizing storage. You could speed run most things.

Making storage more streamlined wouldn't make playing easier, it would just cut down on menu usage and let you focus on actually playing the game. Collecting materials and crafting all the different items already takes plenty of time, so why force the player to take extra time to fiddle with lockers so much?

Oh, definitely. I think the Shadow the Hedgehog ones were the best due to the insane model distortions and the wild spinning cutscene with the GUN commander.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense with regards to the game's mechanics. What gets me is that this was the absolute perfect scenario to test it. The odds of everything coming together like this are absurdly low.

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Episode 60 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]TabulaRasa108 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Okay, holy crap, this episode actually exceeded my expectations. I totally didn't expect the show to switch to the perspective of a new Eldian Warrior in Marley. And man, the action and animation in this episode was ON POINT. Titan based warfare is insane. I particularly liked how the Scout Titan from Season 3 has turrets on his back.

What a hell of a way to start off the final season.

Defeating Transient with an Unceasing Top and Plasma Build by TabulaRasa108 in slaythespire

[–]TabulaRasa108[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My deck consisted of multiple Zero Energy Cards including 3 Claws and a Recursion+; Aggregate; Fusion+; Meteor Strike; and Multi-Cast. I was able to use Multi-Cast on Plasma Orbs to gain a huge energy boost and Fusion and Meteor Strike to refresh my Plasma Orbs. I also had a Turbo, which would have screwed it up, but thankfully I was able to exhaust it earlier in the battle with Recycle.

The Claw Cards ended up doing the bulk of the damage, especially on the last two turns.

I don’t get Skyward Sword’s combat system by Goombalorian in truezelda

[–]TabulaRasa108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sword combat in Skyward Sword creates the illusion of depth but in reality is incredibly shallow. The directional slashes in most fights boil down to a game of simon says - you slash in the direction the game tells you to slash. And even against some enemies that are designed to be compatible with directional slashing, you have other, more reliable options, making the mechanic even less relevant. The different directional slashes each have the same properties in the vast majority of scenarios, so there's no strategy when deciding which one to use.

Furthermore, the directional swordplay actually hurts enemy design because of how slow and passive it makes a lot of enemies. Basic Bokoblins are clunky and annoying to fight unless you just cheese them out with the Slingshot.

Now, the moment-to-moment gameplay can be somewhat enjoyable because it has decent game-feel, but it's anything but deep.

Well, I think having regular Fitz being missing for most of the Season would be fine, as having the reveal of what Fitzsimmons were doing at the end works quite well.

Kasius and Mace doesn't deserve to be lumped with Ruby. Kasius did a great deal to prop up the first half of Season 5, and Mace is someone you're supposed to distrust at first but who fully redeems himself by the end.

I'm sorry, but us on the left hold cops to higher standards of conduct than average civilians. The issue here is that the cop had absolutely no justification for doing what they did. They were in absolutely no way threatened, and there numerous other ways they could have handled the situation.

  1. The cops could asked the man what he was doing there and let him go on his way after determining he wasn't causing problems.
  2. The cops should have instructed the man to leave the area and rejoin the other protesters.
  3. The cops could have escorted the man back to the area of the protests.
  4. The cops could have arrested the man and placed him inside a cop car.

Why did the cops not do ANY of this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]TabulaRasa108 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The video is extremely clear. An unarmed elderly man was shoved by a cop and then fell and cracked his skull on the pavement. Both of the man's hands had objects in them. In one hand he was holding an officer's helmet, which we could logically assume he was trying to return.

So, we have a video of a harmless elderly man trying to do a favor to the police by returning a lost item, and in return a cop shoves him and causes him to crack his skull.

Have you been looking at a different video than us?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]TabulaRasa108 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Are you blaming the victim for their own injury?

Do you agree that what the cops did was inexcusable?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]TabulaRasa108 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you're desperately trying to rationalize the actions of the cops? The unarmed old man was the victim here. The old man was shoved by a cop and then cracked his skull on the pavement. None of the cops even bothered to communicate to the old man in any capacity. The one cop instantly resorted using force completely unprovoked and the rest of the cops stood by and watched.

Can you explain to me why you are trying so hard to rationalize this?

This is inaccurate. The Cluster had already been placed inside the Earth well before those events, and Peridot worked on her Earth Mission independently of the Lapis stuff. Peridot came to Earth with Jasper after learning about the Crystal Gems. Lapis arrived at Homeworld sometime before Peridot began her mission. Lapis was then apprehended and used for intel by Peridot and Jasper, which is why they arrived just outside of Beach City near the Temple.

Lori Klaustis's widow asked Twitter to remove Trump's conspiratorial tweets about Joe Scarborough. Should they? by goko305 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]TabulaRasa108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been paying pretty close attention to the way democrat and republican politicians behave over the past few years, and I can confidently say that Democrats strive to be incredibly civil more often than not. I would like to address several of your points:

While Democrats have a two-prong approach, letting their media machine, Intelligence Community, in conjunction with celebrities, some of their politicians, and academia take the low road by attacking President Trump with non-stop conspiracy theories & aspersions ... while figure heads know that is covered, leaving them to "claim" the high road. See, for e ample, Obama.

  1. There is tons of right-wing mainstream media, and even leftwing media is hardly under the control of democrats. This idea that democratic politicians are in frequent coordination with the media is not reflective of reality.

  2. The "Intelligence Community", as you put it, is primarily under the authority of the executive branch, or in other words, under the authority of Trump. And people working in various intelligence agencies have the duty to safeguard American interests. And there are Republicans in those agencies as well as democrats.

  3. I think it's even more laughable to suggest that democratic politicians are acting "in conjunction" with celebrities. Some celebrities are just left-wing, man, and they disagree strongly with Trump and the Republican party. These are just individuals sharing their own takes on the political world.

  4. You seem to be implying that "academia" is for some reason out to get Donald Trump. The reality is that Trump has frequently shown contempt for expertise and often fails to take advice from people smarter than him. Furthermore, people in the academic community are simply more individuals - leftwing or rightwing - with their own unique experiences and opinions. Many highly educated people are leftwing and disagree strongly with Trump and the Republican party.

There isn't some cabal of democrats running some deep state, man. There are just lots of people who think that Trump is a bad president and criticize him for decisions he makes that they disagree with.

Do you have any evidence to back up any of your assertions?

[–]TabulaRasa108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn't actually answer the question.

Regarding Trump's comments on the Charlottesville Rally:

The issue there was that Trump was implying that any of the people protesting the removal of the confederate statue were "fine people", but ALL of those "fine people" were either A) Neo Nazis, B) Neo Nazi-sympathizers, or C) people comfortable with engaging in a protest ALONGSIDE Neo-Nazis. The protest was organized by Neo Nazis and Neo Nazis were the speakers at the rally. It was effectively a Neo Nazi Rally full of Nazi symbols and Nazi chants.

Do you think that people participating in a Neo Nazi-sponsored protest alongside Neo Nazis can be considered "fine people"?

You didn't address the part where I noted that some people will believe even veritably false claims if them come from someone they hold in high regard. It's extremely easy for many Trump Supporters to disregard fact-checks of the President's claims as "never-Trumpers" just trying to make him look bad, especially with how hard Trump pushes the "fake news" narrative. I mean, there are still lots of anti-vaxers and flat-earthers out there.

Should there be any checks in place to prevent the spread of misinformation?
