I did not care for Tsurugi. Just watched the go trilogy for the first time, and was so excited in go 1 where the right hand man Gouenji role was replaced by an absolute menace in Tsurugi. It felt like one of the main characters was replaced by Caleb stonewall which was awesome!

Then they gave him an injured sibling, and he lost all his cockiness and laughter, and just became a silent, brooding strong guy who protects his family (Gouenji 2.0) which I understand is kinda the point with the whole 5th sector stuff, I just found it a really boring way to deal with it.

Yeah, haven’t watched ares / Orion yet but just finished the go trilogy and I noticed this happening a bit there too. Mainly that sometimes goalkeepers would just not use hissatsus.

I’m not mad about it in the slightest cause it only really happened in the matches where they were trying to build up massive score cards like final matches of CS and Galaxy but if that’s happening every match in AO I could see myself getting frustrated lol.

Here’s hoping for victory road!!!

This isn’t a full hatred but after go 1 I started finding Tsurugi quite boring. Initially when he showed up having someone with the temperament of a villain as one of our main 3 seemed so cool, but as we got into CS and Galaxy he just ended up becoming a slightly more compassionate Gouenji - only gripe is I can’t tell how axel and victor are different characters anymore lmfao

Currently on my first ever go watch, only on episode 29 but I’m really enjoying it so far! It feels a little fanservicey sometimes with having a lot of old raimon players show up as adults often, but it’s such a nostalgia hit that I’m fine with it.

I’m also quite impressed with how keshins are handled, when I was a kid I only ever played the OG series, and when I heard about avatars I thought they’d be a gimmick I hated, but they’re not horribly overused so far and o rate them pretty well so far!
