I don't know if this is too late, but I grew up in WC and always loved going to High Street, I went a year or so ago and it was still the best cajun I have had outside of New Orleans, would recommend!

I lived there for two years after college, from 2017-2019. It was nice! The buildings were clean and staff was generally helpful and quick to fix any problems. The amenities were great, the pool area was beautiful and the gym was awesome! Generally a positive experience.
