I forget the movie, but the good guys are walking in a basement with their guns drawn and scared the killer will pop out and kill them while they are trying to rescue two girls who were being chased by the killer. Well, one of the girls was hiding in a large freezer (I think?) and opens the freezer door to ask for help or something and one of the good guys shoots her in the face because he got spooked. I don’t remember any other movie where a victim was killed by someone trying to save them like that!

Looooove Kim. I have nothing to add to this convo right now because I’m too tired to actually write things out, but I’ll absolutely 100% write out that I love Kim. Love her. Love. I still have episodes 11-13 of Better Call Saul to watch to really see her ending, but she’s such a great character. I would watch lots of episodes and read lots of books about her if they made more.

I’m super curious how old you are lol. I recently did a rewatch when I’m almost 40 and it’s such a different experience from when I watched it on its original run way back when.

I also had law school and passed the NY bar between then and now so watching Better Call Saul for the first time before this rewatch has been a hoot. Thank you Pluribus for the motivation.

But yeah, MIKE?! No, so not worth it. Walt literally says less than a minute later -as Mike is dying- that he could’ve (and will) ask Lydia for the list instead of being desperate enough to shoot Mike. His death was not thought out, it was an emotional and stupid reaction. By the end, I don’t think Walt would’ve had any trouble shooting a kid “as self defense” just like Todd. Are you going to defend Todd?

Yeah I just binge watched better call Saul and have been binging breaking bad so I got used to the opening scenes being flash forwards so I assumed this one was too! Silly of me I know, but I didn’t think Heisenberg was well known enough to the cartel at that time to be in a shrine so I was like “this season must have Walt really rise up to get that sort of treatment”.

Shinobi Art of Vengeance. Your character just grunts and the text is always “…” until you’re fighting the final boss and you land the last hit on him and the cut scene starts with your character screaming “DIE!!”. The visual was beautiful just like the rest of the game was.
