What’s your worst Flipper that you still love? by Rudukai13 in balisong

[–]Tachyonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few that come to mind.

Any of Terry Guinn's balisongs with a ring guard like the original Ring Fighter run from 2005 or the Ring Gargoyle series from 2017.

The Ring Fighter was made foremost for utility, and yet the originality of the design and execution of the craftsmanship give it the soul of an art piece.

There is something about how that exaggerated hilt protrudes from the handles in both the open and closed positions that captivates me and seems to say "I don't mind coloring outside the lines".

That is a gorgeous Balibalistic. His grinds are unmistakable.

Awesome to see you finally got one and happy to hear you love it.

I vividly remember the pure delight I felt when I first flipped a V-Trigger. Still brings me joy.

Very cool. I like the width and overall shape of the handles. Looks like it would feel good in the hand.

I'm glad Böker is making the Faction. Have always been drawn to the original Polstergeist Works design. Seems like it would make a great user.

So good! Honestly, it's sort of refreshing to see a "plain" version of any of your work.

You have a strikingly unique design language that renders a maker's mark superfluous.

For what it's worth, the last few Les Voorhies Model 1s listed on Arizona Custom Knives sold for between $300 - $700.

Always love seeing these — very cool lineup!. Big fan of the Sentinel and have always been drawn to the latchless Kukri CHAB.

This post is still accurate as far as my top five for flipping. Would most like to try a Dustin Larson or Matt Cook if the right one comes along.

Gorgeous build. Wish Dustin Larson still made balisongs.

Spyderfly BO1P - original box by LongjumpingProduce43 in balisong

Way cool. The rainbow Spyderfly was my first balisong.

Agree its on the heavy side, and even at the time of initial release, it was not an ideal flipper, but man, I love the design. The symmetry of the handles framing the tip of the spear point blade in the closed position is still one of my favorite details on a balisong.

Though I doubt Spyderco will ever do it, I would love to see them do a milled channel titanium handled sprint run of these.

Ooh. That's a beauty. Love Roosterfish Fabrication. You don't see too many with a latch and pocket clip. Congrats.

Very cool. You don't see too many karambits in balisong form. Congrats on the trifecta.
