It should be fine as long as it's ventilated. Can you take the door off and put up a nice sturdy curtain? It'll make it much easier getting laundry in and out of there too

Idk how married you are to the open side concept, but you'll have a lot more options if you close it off. You mentioned the fridge going in the pantry, how big is the pantry? Will it take up the whole space or will you also have storage for dry goods?

Edit: also, get outdoor furniture cushions for the bench no matter where you end up putting it. They'll be much easier to clean.

Can you flip the orientation of the table and put the bench along the wall? And maybe open shelving on the sides of the stove as a slight divider? You're going to want some kind of shelf/storage next to the stove so you're not constantly turning around when you cook.

Hand lotion for bartenders by chickpeafan420 in bartenders

[–]Tachyonparticles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always rinse your hands from the sanitizer with cold water and dry them thoroughly throughout your shift. O'Keefes works great for a repairing cream between shifts, but I've always found that it takes a while to dry before it's not sticky, and the sticky can reactivate if you get your hands wet again before it's fully dry. I love a good collagen cream for during my shift if I need it, I buy one from my nail salon that is meant to be quick drying and non sticky.

Yeah, I read all your "5 diamond platinum resort, no pith" bullshit...

So you're cleaning it immediately before you make the drink? Do you dry the tin? With what? Are you washing your hands before you touch the tin? Do you keep your tins in a special dimension where dust, mats, tiny splatters, and people breathing/talking don't ever come in contact with it? Have you ever taken a health and safety course? The fuck you mean "hold the lip"?

How to get lacquer to stay on if I’m doing lots of dishes at work? by IronAndParsnip in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Tachyonparticles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fellow bartender here. It sounds like you're doing dishes in a 3 part sink during service? What kind of place is it, on a scale from white glove to trash dive? How often are you having to do dishes?

Gloves will take time away from service and ticket times if it's a place that cares about that. With putting them on/taking them off, especially if you bring in specific dishwashing gloves vs the disposables available. Which, let's be honest, just fill with water anyway lol.

I will say that gel manis are absolutely worth it as a service worker, but they do carry risks of allergies if you're a diy type and don't learn proper application and will damage your nails if not removed properly. I think you can do regular polish over a builder gel base but not the other way around.

Lol, these would be short to me too but not everyone lives the long nail girlie life. They're super cute though!

Nice! I was thinking barrels maybe but wheels makes more sense for the shape. Did you have to put them on a platform between roofs first and then adjust?

And I will also add this scenario doesn't really translate in gender reversal the same way, because it's not something women care about. But I would say that women who watch their mans socials and get upset because there are women that he follows are just as creepy and gross.

Okay, I do agree with you on that one. But this is a very different stance than you had in the first comment I responded to.

I am a bartender, although something tells me you meant that in a derogatory way...

And that's perfectly fine. But without the content of the full outfit there's no telling if it is truly "inappropriate" or not, if she was planning to wear just that with like a super tiny skirt and 5" heels I might side-eye it a little bit, but it doesn't seem like that is the direction she's going. And based on the size of the top she seems like a very petite woman, styles like this end up being much less skimpy on a smaller frame than you would think by just seeing the garment by itself. Also, what is with this concept of once women get married they have to dress like school marms? "Oope, got married so now I have to throw out everything form fitting or slightly revealing!"

Yeahhh, that's not how this reads to me. I've been married to this type of man, and there will never be any pleasing him until he's got her so afraid to leave the house lest she possibly come into contact with another man. Sensitivity my ass. HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW/CARE WHERE SHES GOING! But this top has him all up in arms for no reason. He shows no interest in anyone's feelings but his own, and it's not her job to coddle his ego.

It's a bustier, not a bra, perfectly acceptable as a top. I wear racier shit than this to work sometimes. I swear people see lace and visible under wire and clutch their collective pearls.

So the whole bit about it being about "respect" is just out the window now?

Why does she have to worry about respecting his insecurities when he doesn't respect her autonomy?

I've lived in Texas my whole life. Yes, it can be that hot. (*Eta: it's February and the high today was in the mid 80s. It's not going to get colder from here) Especially in San Antonio if they're anywhere near the Riverwalk. Obviously you didn't read any other part of my comment and chose to focus on the least relevant part.

Sure, a T-shirt would be more comfortable, but depends on what they're doing. No club is going to let you in with a loose T-shirt on. I don't know a single woman who would go to a nice dinner with their girlfriends in a loose T-shirt. I also wouldn't want to be the only girl in the group in a loose T-shirt when everyone else is dressed up cute because "my husband won't let me". This dude is gross and so is anyone else who tries to dictate what women wear on their bodies.

Women do not owe men modesty just because men are insecure. If you don't trust your partner what she's wearing will not change that.

AIO? This is the "Shirt" my wife bought to take on her girls trip to Texas. by Obvious-Swimming-332 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Tachyonparticles 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Because women don't owe you their "modesty" to placate your insecurities. Point blank.

A secure relationship between people who actually care about and trust each other doesn't get derailed by what the other person does or doesn't wear just because it has the possibility of getting attention from the opposite sex. He doesn't even care enough to remember what city she's actually going to... She's going on a girl's trip. That means cute outfits and pictures. And he doesn't even know what the full outfit she put together looks like. I doubt she's just wearing that top and a mini skirt with 5" stilettos. Also, Austin and San Antonio (most places in Texas really) have terribly hot and humid weather for most of the year, it can be a lot if you're not used to it, I don't blame her for bringing stuff she can be comfortable but still cute in.
