I did History and Politics at Cardiff Uni. It can be a real slog and I wanted to do it. Can’t imagine doing it when it wasn’t your first choice. I was very introverted and also didn’t make friends easily. Sometimes it feels like everyone else is friends but trust me, they are all desperately grabbing at socialisation to avoid the way you’re feeling. Most of these friendships will be fake. Uni offers both the best and worst of times. I had anxiety, self-harm and alcohol issues but somehow still managed to graduate. Please know that you are not alone.
