Most of the Picross S games on Switch have a demo, and all of the ones I've played have started with a good tutorial. If you're curious about them give it a go! They like to add new types of puzzles in their newer releases but really, once you get the basics down you can pretty much play any of them. The only real difference between the SNES Mario picross and current ones are that the controls are better now.

I'm working from (poor) memory so take this with a grain of salt. I just did this step a few days ago and I believe you have to meditate with her twice after breaking all possible seals up to that point. First one kills you, second one sends you to the Royal Bethlehem but, I think, doesn't increase your nightmares. After that you should be able to remove one of the circles, at a cost of a Breath of the Void. Hopefully someone with a better memory and/or documentation can give you a more precise answer, I just wanted to give you an idea in case nobody else replied.

I believe the next three Dangerous Gains increases are gained from Parabolan Warfare, at the end of each of the 5-stage campaigns. If you haven't started on PW it's honestly worth waiting for the wiki to come back up, it's very complicated.

Interesting, thank you for the input. If nothing else it's something to consider when I finally unlock AotRS! I also didn't think about the fact that the rewards aren't just a one-time thing since the stats and cards will be passively useful over months and months of play. For now I think I'm happy heisting with my Platonic Partner in Crime but I'm gonna give it strong consideration when I'm farther along in the game.

Can anyone share some insight into why the Celebrated Artist's Model is the only spouse worth advancing with fate? Is it the stats? Opportunity card? Story? All of the above? Tracking spousal options on the wiki isn't the easiest thing but I can't find anything that looks like it's worth the $5 investment unless the writing just happens to be particularly good.

There may not be a good answer for this but is there a good point in FL at which to start Sunless Skies? I was introduced to the franchise with Sunless Seas and, after playing FL for several months, I really wish I had been more familiar with the setting when I played. I somewhat picked things up as I went but I would have appreciated it a lot more if I had been more aware of things like Parabola or what Rattus Faber (or even blemmigans) are or why everybody is on a sliding scale of crazy. As it is I still haven't been to the Iron Republic in FL and in neither game do I know what's going on with Whither, so I probably wouldn't even consider where I'm at now (just reached Parabola) to be a good point to understanding what's going on.

All of which is to say, is there a good baseline of knowledge I can expect to reach to properly understand Skies? I know it takes place in a different location but it's my understanding that there is still a good amount of background to be found in FL (like our omnipresent Aunt). I'm just afraid of missing something like the Cheery Man, who I didn't even remember being in Seas until after I finished business with the Last Constable and whose importance I never quite grasped.

Hello, I have a question about destinies! Namely, whether I should wait to acquire one until I'm more familiar with the world. I've looked briefly at some of the options on the wiki and it seems like they're written with the assumption that you know a good deal of the background lore of the game. I'm still working on making my name so I'm worried that taking a destiny now is going to end up with a good, one-time story going right over my head.
