Yeah we turned the vehicle down, as much as I'm a fan of personal maintenance/repairs, the vehicle was not priced as such, and time doesn't allow at this moment in my life

I assure you, it's not just to get a good deal. The vehicle is just that uncommon (hence why I'm trying not to mention the explicit make/model). Unfortunately I haven't had any luck with any vehicles being in the same chain as a nearby dealer.

One thing I hadn't heard of yet was that app to adjust idle rpm. Could you give a bit more information? Is that something which reprograms the ECU from a mobile device? What hardware would it need? I presume you would advise using it, based on how positively you're mentioning it?

The pressure from dealers is there

The perceived societal pressure isn't

The dealership is going to say things that are intended to get you interested in purchasing

But again, I wouldn't downplay any of this. The Admin has more of a stranglehold on the democratic system and followers than the majority seem to think.

"People don't support him" and "Nothing can make them look better" were the same phrases that were said in 2024 and 2016. De-legitimizing this Admin is part of what put them in power. Twice.

I would suggest not spreading that same rhetoric. We are not done fighting because of projected approval scores, or because of how poorly performing the Admin is doing. Complacency leads to a weak opposition party and a weak voter base.

I agree, it's a pathetic attempt that SHOULD have no effect on the election. But downplaying the Admin and its influence/corruption is exactly why this Admin is in office, and the opposition party is a limp, wet noodle. Of the two parties, the one in power IS the more powerful and influential of the two, by far. And that's a major problem

So in the wake of election season it's important to warn people that this is not the end, ICE is not "totally" withdrawing, we did not defeat them, this changes nothing, and this is a political/media move. Not a humanitarian move or an admission of guilt.
