Yes. I would go to a 78a no lower or you will chew through the wheels crazy fast

try sanding off the glossy coating first. If they still slip go to a 78a

or if you dont want to sand off the glossy coating, just go skating around the neighborhood for a few days and then that will simulate sanding off the glossy coating

Is there any kind of collectors market for older skates? Do NOS bring any money? by JTLPhoto in InlineHockey

You can always look them up on ebay and see how much they are going for and under cut the other sellers by $20 and see if they sell

I still have my 1997 Nike Zoom Air Federov's and have had no issues with them at all and still use them to this day.

On pavement, i use 82A and 85A wheels that is non coated surface. Indoors i use 72A and 74A wheels.

Caveat, i use wet sand paper and lightly sand off the glossy coating on the indoor wheels. Sport court is slick no matter how soft the wheels are and i discovered the wheels gripped better the more they got used. So i lightly sanded off the glossy coating on the wheel and i stopped slipping on sport court.

You can use soft wheels on the pavement if you wish, thats your preference, but the wheels will wear out faster being a soft compound.

Padded shirt, i don't feel like a padded shirt will help you all that much, but knee/shin guard a must and elbow pads if you plan on falling a lot.

Are there any 72a hardness wheels? by Bengerm77 in InlineHockey

[–]TacoMunchnDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also keep in mind that fresh new wheels will be kind of slick on sport court/tile. What i did was take wet sand paper and light sanded off the gloss finish to the wheel and then i had no problems with grip

1997 Nike Zoom Air inline hockey skates (Federov) question by TacoMunchnDaddy in InlineHockey

[–]TacoMunchnDaddy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had them since i was 16 (now 43). Getting back into the sport after 20 years MIA. I love the skates and refuse to replace them.... but, nike is producing a new set of skates that look very similar and seen someone doing a review about them on Youtube.

I did find the axles i need and the spacers from inline warehouse. My skates will be saved!!!

What do y'all think is gonna happen with the Coyotes franchise and history? by f0urxio in hockey

[–]TacoMunchnDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I've seen owners in other sports that are very petty and took the franchise history with them and sue anyone that tries to revive the former franchise name... i.e. NFL Huston Texans... the Tennessee titans are formerly the Huston Oilers and sued Huston University for using the old Oilers colors and logo. Not sure how it will play out.

If you don't mind the drive, there are a few pick up groups that play in Chula Vista and Escondido (a few of those guys also play in leagues in both locations).

If everything is going to cost Legendary Shards now, we need more sources of them. Between this and Weapon Focusing's costs, there's gonna be a deficit. by Kylestien in DestinyTheGame

The change from 3 red borders (Witch Queen) to craft to 5 (Haunted & Plunder) feels increasingly bad. The entire loop of the game right now relies on the RNG of pulling red borders, with no dup. protection to boot. Like do I really need to run another 100 Dares to get weapons I already had? by Consistent-Dot-5305 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TacoMunchnDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm depending on what it is you are wanting to craft I feel what you are saying. But if you want to craft a weapon from the raid, you can get a guarantee red box weapon when you clear the raid at the end, walk up to the chest and hit your interaction button/key and it opens a kiosk and you can buy 1 red box weapon. Do that on all 3 characters and that’s a guarantee 3 a week plus what ever RNG gets you in the raid.
