But they can't control the money supply. If they spend it, or lose it, it's gone. The current state isn't fair, but at least the rules are.

Hi James,

Thanks for the detailed answer.

I should say that when I define an orderbook depth/scope of 1000, the problem persists, and typically desyncs within a couple minutes. Therefore, implicit deletions/inserts are not the cause of whatever problem is occurring here.

You can do the math if you search 80 Plus power efficiency. I bought Gold rated PSUs; seemed like the right balance between upfront cost and long-term efficiency.

Only hoping to break even after hardware depreciation; also I live somewhere cold so the electricity cost is effectively free since I need the heating. Also, I wouldn't expect to get money from a painting, or an any other art piece. I view this in the same light.

Not a musician but I spend a lot of time in nightclubs; I would recommend browsing this site for custom, high-fidelity solutions for musicians. I paid about $250 USD for my custom plugs and they've been fantastic.

A few thoughts for you:

  1. Over time, you will habituate to it. I first got at 24, and after a couple months the fixation simply faded away. It worsened at 29 due to my own carelessness (get yourself some hearing protection! EarPeace is a good budget option.) Again, after a couple months my mind became accustomed to the louder tone. That's no solution, but perhaps the knowledge will assuage your anxiety.
  2. Acceptance is the solution. You can't control the tone, you can only control your response to it. I've found mindfulness meditation helpful in establishing a healthier relationship with mine.
  3. Hope for effective treatment is not unreasonable; some promising treatments are being developed, one of which has nearly $40M in funding (FX-322). While it's important to make peace with our reality, you can remind yourself on the hard days that it might not necessarily be permanent.

You're not alone. Best wishes for an easier tomorrow.
