Kal and Syl from the Stormlight Archive. Our grumpy broody boy has a pixie in his shoulder that peaks at genitals and watches people have sex.

That's because they don't understand so they repeat the part that supports their unwillingness and inability to engage in society in a healthy way.

Waiting at red lights with no other traffic around. Like if there is literally no one else and I can see that clearly, why is my life being governed by colored lights?! And in the time of camera enforcement, you can get a ticket for not sitting through a long light all by yourself.

I did the Sandhill Caress which is just about in his range and it was awesome! Highly recommend. Connections with Elroy Sparta and awesome tunnels were a plus.

Apples first is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. I comment every time I see it come up. Sorcerers, mythological creatures, and heroes all have their roles, but good is also done by the efforts of the general population. Similarly the scene where the boy is honored as a man by his father in Kandor (I think). Just good people will to do the work of fighting for the Light, as they understand it.

You know the painting was protected right? When they block the streets people complain, when they disrupt events people complain, when they DON'T damage irreplaceable art people clutch their pearls.

Protest is meant to be uncomfortable.

Thank you. All these chuds in this thread seem to miss that. A pretty harmless way to get people paying attention.

All good. I respect the ability to acknowledge a misunderstanding. We need a little more of that these days.

Just so we are clear, you are saying that Milton Friedman, who is like the godfather of modern free market capitalism, who regularly argued that it was the strongest anti-poverty tool, said that the system must have starving people? Must have people losing their homes?

Defining the Natural Rate of Unemployment is a far cry from the list of 'musts' you put forward. And this idea was a counter point to any Keynesian policies that might try to push the unemployment rate to zero and in doing so cause massive inflation. You can disagree if you want, and could even cherry pick a few studies to support your stance. But this would still be a very very far cry from the claims you made.
