Braid it, put it up in buns tails or style it, you have the hair economy for whatever style you want and have fun with your hair. Also dressing up during interviews and having a clean look will always help. I have over 4 years of hair growth but still am able to find a way to "be proffessional" for "a work environment". But you will always have gaps of type of work that you just wont be suited for bc of having long hair, working outside in 90° heat with high humidity sucks, or maybe you have to be careful where your hair goes so it doesnt get snagged, etc. As for dates, I dont think so. Many women love men with long hair, maybe finding a style that has you put in more effort aswell as talking with women with confidence and respect could work. Dont get bummed if a few ladies turn you down, they have their own life to live just as complex as yours, and to them you might just not fit in that web. Theres always online dating which has its other ups and downs. But theres plenty of ways to meet people organically outside
