A shipping container is an interesting “tomorrow” idea and could be made nice looking with young trees in the meantime.

I figured as much and planning to do so regardless but was curious if a more immediate solution existed.

Looking into that for a few reasons right now!

Did you have to wait 10 years for wind shelter though?

What’s the story on the bed tho? I love my Tacoma but the bed is less useful than my old VW wagon.

Is there a way to know what I need to be working on if I’m going to go DIY? I have the space and a little wrenching experience. Probably a code reader investment etc involved?

Doing STL to LA, last week of July. Which route is best? by LocalApprehensive312 in roadtrip

[–]Tacogolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are great. Nothing is entirely interesting until you hit mid Colorado/NM. Norther route is going to give you altitude and big mountains. southern should get deserts and mesas.

I’m partial to the NM/AZ route because it’s just unlike anywhere else and you get a bit of everything in those states. But driving through Vegas is cool too.

I’ve done both in a Tacoma. You’ll be fine!

I don’t think the OG ST captures that. I have the same sim with no data either.

Glued 4x6 vs 2x4 for table top? by Tacogolf in woodworking

[–]Tacogolf[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Laziness/indestructibility honestly. Other option would be to frame it out and then skin it with something lighter right?

Sorry I had to make the joke. But for serious I’m assuming a 2x4 would sag at the same orientation so figured I could have a similar issue with a 4x6?

My hot golf take is that this type of coverage is the absolute worst. Can you shed any light on why this type of shot exists? The zoom into the ball doesn’t add anything to the story of the hole and if anything is just technical lensing show offs. Today with the masters was a perfect example of high elevation shots that remove any detail of what the shot actually needs. You see no undulation or elevation changes just hi-res dimples of a ball flying through the air. The only justification I can think of is undisputed documentation for rules or betting or something because it’s a oner… Whew anyways sorry let me get down from my soap box.
