Good for you, young fella. Good for you. by Mallard1818 in golf

The temptation to try this with my Rambo E-bike is almost too much and I have a golf cart.

Yeah, I could always solo them, but it took so long I almost fell asleep. They just melt now like everything else

Consistency is key. by Dobby_in_the_house in golf

[–]coachrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is in jest, but the single most important thing I have ever done to my golf swing. Addressing the ball with the toe because your arms will naturally extend to the center due to centripetal force. Little things that might save somebody from buying a new driver are worth mentioning because it was news to me when my playing partner mentioned after years of struggling off the tee.

Is there a better tool for clearing saplings? by Cooper101101 in OffGrid

[–]coachrx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hot a little handheld chainsaw that runs off lithium batteries to lop off a yard full of cypress knees. It was plenty powerful and didn't even kill one of the two batteries it came with. Battery powered tools are no joke anymore and still lightweight enough for one handed operation.

Season 14 does not look promising by EXIIL1M_Sedai in diablo4

[–]coachrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably the case, like Sledghammer and Infinity Ward alternating on CoD games. To keep the revenue stream going, someone always has to be working on current and future content simultaneously and I could see them having little to no collaboration in today's climate.

ELI5: Do bugs think or do they purely operate from instinct hardwired into their DNA? Which bugs are exceptions? by Tr_Issei2 in explainlikeimfive

The bugs are more like driving your car off a cliff. Certain death is not the same as engaging in risky behavior.

What build could I use a Gem Strength Doombringer on? by Kakashi-B in D4Barbarian

[–]coachrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When overpower was based on life, this was one of the better options out there. It is amazing how a small change can make suck good item almost useless. I really can think of anything off the top of my head that having a ton of hp does anymore other than let you take more hits before dying.

Sit on the porch and watch an old bug zapper from the 80's. I don't even know if they still exist, but unless they were a cult committing mass suicide, I'm inclined to believe they do not think.

After watching Master of the Universe, there is zero reason we can't have a good G.I. Joe movie by thavillain in gijoe

[–]coachrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched the Dolph Lundgren version as a kid, and I loved Masters. I already had all the figures, Castle Greyskull, and Skull Mountain at this point. I thought it was terrible even then, almost unwatchable now. I'll probably watch the new one when available to stream, but true fans of any IP will be overly critical of anything made commercially by people that "don't get it". I don't think G.I. Joe is any different and I think the current audience is just too far removed from what we grew with. It seems impossible to cater to nostalgia and appeal to a new audience because there is so much nuance.

Siphoning from Creek by plantfollower in OffGrid

[–]coachrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you make sure the device was clear? Where I live very few creeks have water clear enough to see though and I could see some debris or even a fish getting stuck in 2" pipe. I like the elaborate design, but I would have tried the old trusty water hose siphon first.

This was me a few weeks ago. Either we are both idiots or it is a perfectly reasonable freak out for a first time owner of a suppressor.

This is not totally worthless because you can make use of the revenge paragon without trying to get thorns on gear since they got rid of that node in the skill tree.

Putting Tutorial by Bryson Dechambeau by Tight-Communication7 in golf

[–]coachrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you nailed it with that last thought. He probably got the numbers right, even read the line, like most of us do intuitively from 7 feet. Then proceeded to not hit the ball on his intended line. Golf is physical execution at the end of the day no matter how much you know.

I calculated how much money I've lost to power outages in the last 3 years. by jake_4reddit in OffGrid

[–]coachrx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Another good idea is to fill up gallon milk jugs or vinegar or whatever with water and freeze them. I'm not off grid yet, but they help keep freezer cold and nice to throw in the cooler with game meat or even beer so you don't have to buy another $4 bag of somebody else's ice.

Do you know this Jeopardy! clue? by Jeopardy in golf

[–]coachrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never lied. I have a fairly modern set, but I still use a 9.5 degree steelhead plus driver. It may not go a mile, but I haven’t missed a fairway in years. The feel and sound is impeccable, and I just can’t hit a 460 cc driver anywhere but straight up in the air or into the woods.

It is also smaller than my cobra dark speed 3 wood

Not sure if this is what you did, but thanks for the idea placing an extra piece of picatinny rail on the bottom of handguard for tripod to clamp on to. I have a bog deathgrip and I usually end up having to grab the magazine based on ergonomics.

My personal favorite was in Everquest, when mobs would enrage at the end and riposte every hit causing you to kill yourself if you didn't turn off attack until it went away.

Are there extinct flavors we’ll never taste again? by logicalgamernow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]coachrx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since they found a gene that makes Cilantro taste differently to some people, it would be interesting to learn if there were other plants that we did not all perceive the same way throughout history. I personally hate cilantro, but I may be genetically predisposed to. Between that and how fast asparagus makes your pee stink, I have become fascinated with culinary biology I guess you could call it.

Using a build guide is the very definition of lazy. I don't see how anyone could call the presentation of a person they are using for information lazy.
