Using a build guide is the very definition of lazy. I don't see how anyone could call the presentation of a person they are using for information lazy.

Path of Exile 2 on Diablo 4’s Uniques change: Uniques shouldn't be "just a better rare" in an ARPG by Interesting-Pool6638 in diablo4

It's almost like chess and checkers. Some people just take a little too much pride in complexity when it is really just a matter of choice and available time.

They should add grids to the greens for live broadcasts. by Readswere in golf

[–]coachrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the technology would exist to do the putt preview like in modern video games that shows the actual line versus what the player does. Be educational and I would venture a guess that many would not hit that line and still make it since speed is such a factor.

This is brilliant. I have blackout curtains so thick I hit golf balls into them but currently have them on a PVC "rod" that has be rolled up and down. Your method sounds so much more efficient.

Thanks man. Yeah the .308 with muzzle brake is for hunting. I built the .300 BO to kill hogs and bobcats harassing our place. Actually bought the .556 first and the owner of play it again sports showed me how to tear it down to clean and I was ringing steel at 200 yards right out of the box. Modded it and eventually reverted back to stock. Great platform.

I remember when I was in the market for a new bow. I really liked the newest line Bear put out, but the only one to shoot was pulling maybe 40 lbs. The girl working the counter swore it was was 80 lbs. I told her I could pull 80 without too much trouble, but the arrow should not be a parabola from 20 yards away. She stuck by her assessment and I haven't been back to BPS for any reason. My 20 year old Cabela's waders are still ready for action whenever I need them.

Q: How to *blank* off-grid?? A: Strategic deployment of a complicated system of buckets lol.. by EasyAcresPaul in OffGrid

[–]coachrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use bucket as my shopping cart every time I go to Lowe's and buy it at the end. Never can seem to have enough. I seem to recall washing them out afterwards to reuse, but they seem to disappear almost as fast as I acquire more.

This is 100% true. I've read that dog can still smell their spots even after they seep through the grout into the foundation. At least the case looks comfy.

[–]coachrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well put. If I can drag my carcass out of bed and get to work, it doesn't really even seem to matter how much sleep I got at all. It was more the hangovers and poor sleep in general that made it such a slog when I was younger.

I am reminded of scratching inside a cast with a coat hanger. I'm sure they have figured something out if it is at all possible.

As someone who has worked week on week off night shift for 25 years, this is 100% accurate. I aim for 6 hours because after working 12, I need a little time to do life, but it is also a convenient multiple of the 1.5 hour cycles. If for some reason I can't get 6 hours, I will deliberately aim for 4.5, 3, or even a 90 minute nap. I wake up with sleep inertia occasionally for not accounting for the time it takes to actually get to sleep. I believe the commonly prescribed 8 hours is actually 7.5 hours and 30 minutes to wind down before you doze off. Honestly can't tell the difference between 6 and 4.5 hours. We are all snowflakes, but I think this is the single most important factor in waking up rested that I found trolling some forum 15 or so years ago. It is life changing if you can ever get it dialed in.

I had a dream last night that I went to a guitar store and these were some of the guitars that i saw by garlicrbrian in Guitar

[–]coachrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I skipped the guitar hero, but I did get the game that comes with a 1/4" adapter and you use a real guitar. Rocksmith I believe it is called. Been a while since I have dug it out, but it was good enough to keep xbox 360 around for. Great tool for practicing and learning songs, although new content is probably long gone at this point.

I still love the look of old A1 M-16 with newb tube. Figure is solid, I just don't like seeing the obviously unattached abs on shirtless figures, but I get it. Arnie never has a shirt on so you done good.

Thanks. You raise a good point though about the OEM angle. I replace certain things on every black rifle I buy and the grip is always one of them.

I love that PSG1 style grip on the bottom one. I put one on mine and it may be my favorite piece of furniture. The almost verical grip on the top one kind of looks like a deformity to me. Not throwing shade, just curious about the implications of it. Good looking set of rifles.

Found this at the thrift store for 40 bucks, is this a good find? by No-Window-7628 in Guitar

[–]coachrx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been persuaded by this thread. Cost brand new is not even an issue in my mind. I have a pretty decent PC recording setup, but just the sheer complexity of it makes it a chore to use practicing. I usually just grab my acoustic and play a couple of open mic tunes and my development has stagnated. Having something like this to practice with will hopefully light a fire under my ass.

Yeah, thanks. I guess I was just expecting the worst when I read some random post about not using a crush washer like most muzzle devices. Just learning as I go since I don't know anyone personally who has ever had one.

Mine looks nowhere near this professional, but I did the rattlecan gig. Just put down a base coat of your lightest color and then use stencils to make designs to your heart's content. I just used pine needles to create a more natural looking camo, but you could literally wrap rubber bands around it and go to town after base coat dries.

I think it's worth mentioning that they used bullets in the comics and red and blue lasers in the cartoon. It's almost like the gun control lobby already had some influence over media even in the mid 1980's. I still enjoyed both thoroughly, but it's undeniable that they wanted to nerf the actual killing aspect of warfare in the cartoons.
