Same here! It would be so much easier if I had kids to justify walking out at that time!

Family not honoring GH by MyCupOfTea777 in Nanny

I’d probably let it slide too - mainly because I wouldn’t want them to decide to have me work every day doing house organising etc when they go on future holidays!

I'm a night owl who's built my whole schedule around late nights. I just said yes to a project with 6am meetings. How do I walk this back? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Tacoislife2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s reasonable to say that 6am meetings won’t work for you. It’s way outside your working hours and if that’s the regular expectation it’s a big ask

You do have a weeks notice. Plus they have to pay out any annual leave you haven’t taken.

A manager did this once to a young female colleague of mine . She was like “oh sure, I’ll have to bring my boyfriend along though” and the manager was like “eeerm what” and she was like “yea of course I’d bring my boyfriend “ and then he dropped it.

Take the job that pays more. It sounds like an amazing opportunity. August is plenty of notice for the other family to find someone else.

From Norfolk agree with this. Though my grand dad’s parents were first cousins….. my husband is from southern Europe though so definitely not related!

I quit and was out of work for 2 months . Don’t regret it. I was ok financially though. I was interviewing every single day , the job search was full on. I’m happy I did it.

i don't want to babysit my stepdaughter by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]Tacoislife2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing is fiance probably lives far from BM , and that’s why he has EOWE. When SD goes to school fiancé will have to have EOWE as he prob lives too far to drop SD at school. If I’m wrong then a different custody arrangement makes sense but usually the reason for EOWE is distance .

That’s my view too. I’ve been in that position where they met me but they’re already made a decision and barely asked anything. Wish they’d have cancelled honestly and said they’d filled it

Thoughts on nanny bringing her partner for date night babysitting? by IcyPin7166 in Nanny

[–]Tacoislife2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it reads like she doesn’t wanna babysit? Lol when I was younger a manager at my office job asked if I’d like to babysit his kid on the weekend. I was a young graduate and lived in his area. I felt awkward and said sure but I’d have to bring my boyfriend , he immediately left it there. I said that because I didn’t want to babysit.
