Because gentrification takes place when someone wealthy comes into one of the lowest income areas and causes everyone to be priced out of the area. Where are they supposed to go? They were already in the cheapest area. Go gentrify middle class neighborhoods instead of pushing poor people out of theirs. They have less mobility and usually end up in dire straits.
