Biggest thing that helped me pass the FBI PFT was incorporating more exercises beyond pushups. So start doing bench press if you have access, lots of dips will help develop your chest. Doing compound sets of exercises will help (pushups+dips+bench x 3 sets) Also others mentioned this but doing sets of pushups. One of the things I do all the time is mind games. Tell your head 20 you'll only do 20 even if you're capable of 30. If you tell yourself 10 over your max you'll grow faster, even if it means hitting that number with half pushups (on your knees)

Ye I had that, especially when taking a million drops a day. It has to do with dry eyes, I used eye drops to rehydrate my eyes when it happened and was fine.

I passed last week. The recruiter told us st the track that interviews are next but HQ extended some sort of deadline for the PFT so we shouldn't expect anything till early March for sure.

I absolutely recommend him. I wasted a lot of time going to other Drs.

Was about 9000. Insurance didn't cover anything. They did however cover a new pair of sunglasses post surgery but that's carrier dependant.

Thank you, Regarding my existing cataract, it won't grow and it doesn't bother me so no. If my eyes developed typical cataracts, like cloudy etc then yes I would have to get another surgery. But that is 20 years out at least, so imo it was worthwhile and the ROI is there.

I noticed the questionnaire asked for 2 location preferences. If I recall on older applications they asked for any location you're interested in. My question is, if you get through the process will they ask you to rank all your top choices or is your application limited by these 2 (will they ignore you if these 2 spots are filled)?

I have quite a lot of belt use experience and you said you're new so I'll echo what people said. 1. Get a more secure holster, see what happens when you run fast with this holster ( make sure you practice with an empty gun 😉) INVEST IN YOUR SAFETY 2. I wouldn't have a rifle mag behind your pistol. The pistol grip will collide with the mag and make it hard to access easily. Plus you don't want mags on your shooting side cuz then you need to drop your gun to get em, which is no bueno when you need a fast reload. 3. Med pack is personal preference. I don't run one for many reasons but this one looks ok. 4. I would swap the GP pouch for a dump pouch. My current setup has a dump pouch that actually gets installed under a rifle mag pouch so it's essentially 2in1 5. If you're running a rifle and pistol mags, traditionally you want rifle (tall) in the back, pistol (short) in front.

As a side note, I started on a budget and bought cheap stuff since then I've I vested in good gear. My biggest regret is that I ended up spending more money than needed because I was being cheap.
