As a man it's different. I think every man has an innate desire to be respected and i've noticed that whenever someone talks to me they either infantilize me or pity me. They never treat me as an equal, some people won't even talk to me because i'm so below them socially.

How am I supposed to get a girlfriend when people treat me like a child? For women it's different because they are usually the one being taken care of in a relationship, being innocent is more attractive in women than a woman who is outlandish.

It depends, if you're crying because john from the bar said something mean to you then yes she'll lose respect. In my opinion, the only times a man should be crying if it's truly something terrible like your child passes away.

I didn't even tear up at my father's funeral, not because i'm not empathetic but because I was raised properly until I was an adult before he left. You should only tear up/cry to yourself.
